I recently had the privilege of being under the care of an extraordinary surgeon Dr.Sacchini whose exceptional skills were matched by his compassion and dedication.he was there to guide me through one of the most challenging journeys of my life and placing patient well-being and comfort as priority. What set him apart was not just his remarkable surgical expertise, but his genuine empathy and support throughout the entire process. Throughout my treatment, he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, informed, and, most importantly, felt heard. The world needs more specialists like Dr.Virgilio Sacchini. We live in a time where the medical field is more advanced than ever, but what truly makes a difference in patient care is the human touch that professionals like him provide. The world would be a much better place if all doctors took a leaf out of his book and supported their patients with the same level of dedication and humanity. Highly recommend him

Exceptional!! Amazing!! Wonderful!!! Should I go on?? No question, if you become his patient, you will be in the best hands.. you will know it from the minute you meet him. On every visit, He makes me feel like I am the most important patient on his schedule. On my 1st appt with him, he took his time to educate me about my cancer. He showed me my slides and explained them to me. I never had experienced so much respect from any doctor. He used simple diagrams that allowed me to understand him clearly. Every question I asked, he answered, "Good Question". I cannot say enough about this doctor. You will feel safe in his hands. Trust me! I am so happy with all my results. DMX - Nov 2020

I hope Dr Sacchini continues to practice for the longest possible time and doesn't retire anytime soon. When my wife again got breast cancer in her other breast after many years, she had a partial mastectomy (lumpectomy), followed by a re-excision (2nd procedure) in another good medical practice. But they still couldn't get clear margins and her surgeon and rest of attending doctors unanimously recommended a total mastectomy. We agreed but wanted the DIEP reconstruction procedure that the local plastic surgeon didn't offer, so we came to MSKCC for it. Luckily, the surgeon assigned to us was Dr Sacchini. He studied wife's charts, ordered a new MRI and was confident that another re-excision by him would be enough. So that's what happened. Margins were clear, my wife's breast was saved and after radiation treatment she's doing very well. Dr Sacchini is also one of the nicest and most caring persons we've met. And he and MSKCC here put patient welfare above revenue and profits.

Almost two years later after recovering from my partial mastectomy, my breast health is in tact. Also, the nipple-sparing procedure was a game changer, physiologically. Sacchini’s hands are deft, and his mind is calm and bright.

My first meeting with Dr. Sacchini was for a second opinion on my breast cancer diagnosis. Although a nervous, emotional time, I immediately was comforted by his expertise and calm demeanor. His approach to medicine is cautious but rationale, willingly using my digital images to correlate to my diagnosis and treatment plan. I felt I made the right decision in having him perform my mastectomy. He answered all my wide-ranging questions directly, backing up with science and common sense.
