Gave me back my life
I was bed ridden 3 to 4 times a year. My back px was crippling. The aid car would have to come and bring me to the hospital because of my pain I couldn’t stand. After back fusion with Dr Patel I have my life back. I can swing dance, walk on the treadmill and use a stationary bike. I can use a chainsaw and weed whacker. He is both carrying and professional. He has a bedside manner that makes you feel comfortable and cared for. He is the Best of the Best. If you need a doctor for your back he’s the doctor for you. And his smile says it all he cares.

Just in it for the Statistics - 'Didn't have time'
Performed a major surgery on Friday, came in to 'see me' 8 hours later in the hospital and said he was 'in a hurry' and didn't have time to talk to me'. He did have time, however, to have me disconnected from the pain pump without alternate instructions, leave me with a brace filled with blood which caused me to have to stay three days instead of two. Only wants info for the UW stats in follow-on appointments, without a care for the actual disability this has caused. Shame.

Highly Qualified AND Approachable
Dr. Patel was friendly, thorough, and patient in discussing the complicated issues we had to review and plan for. His PA spent additional time making sure everything was clear to me, and the MA was able to find another staffer to help me with additional appointments so that I did not have to make another trip in to the medical center to schedule them.
