i find Dr. Zhang to be top notch. She listens to me, is thoughtful, and gives me options.

Incompetent
She does not understand the patient or try to diagnosis them. She simply expects you to know what is wrong with yourself. Google gives me more accurate answers and support than she does. Avoid at all costs.

Excellent Physician
I found Dr. Zhang to be very sensitive, knowledgeable and caring. She listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions, and prescribed a curative course of action. She is mild mannered and I found this made me comfortable in talking with her. I also did not feel rushed during my appointment ~

Mediocre experience.
I saw Dr. Zhang because of vaginal bleeding. I explained to her the bleeding was significant. She stayed in the corner on the computer as if she were afraid to touch me! Then she ordered a urine test & said I had a urinary infection. I told her I had no fever or burning and she just smiled. She said the preliminary result was blood in my urine. She gave me anti-biotics and left the room. The results of the urine test showed no urinary infection. I had to call to see if I should continue the anti-biotics. she seemed hesitant and said, "No, you can stop." Again, her hesitation and passive tone made me wonder if she were right. She seemed uninvolved and disinterested. I went to Dr. Jenkins for over 25 years; she was stellar. Since she moved, I have been struggling to find an internist who listens, gets it right, and is not married to the computer. She is void of any bedside manner and does not listen. GIM has to do better.

Not very good at diagnosing. Seems almost afraid to. I feel bad but just not very competent for things beyond the bare minimum.

professional, courteous, and thorough
I visited Dr. Zhang recently due to acute pain I suffered in my abdomen. I found Dr. Zhang to be professional, courteous, and thorough. I underwent blood work, urine tests, and a CT scan. She contacted me when my results were received to explain the results and answer my many questions. I have great confidence in the care I received, and the diagnosis given. The poor reviews I have read here are not consistent with my experience.

Horrible experience
She could not care less about me. I had an annual checkup and blood tests. She did not call or email me for a week after the results came out. I heard from her only after I left a message with her office saying i am still waiting to hear from her. Some of my results were red flags, she brushed them off. My cholesterol levels were dangerously low and still she copy-pasted and sent a message about how to lower cholesterol. My potassium level was really high and she was like, we can recheck it in the future. When? When my kidneys fail or i have a heart attack? Unbelievable. Will never ever see her or use Inova’s services again.

Cold, uncaring
Would not recommend. She didn't seem to care that I was in pain. She seems very cold and clinical, treating me as if I were a lab rat.

Blank stares, little help
After many questions, Dr. Zhang would just stare blankly before offering any type of response. At several points I felt like I needed to ask "are you going to say anything??" Most questions were met with indirect answers, and at several points she did not express a professional opinion when one was warranted; for example, after examining my mom's legs for swelling she didn't say whether the swelling looked problematic or normal until I asked several minutes later. She had very little helpful feedback, and the entire visit was extremely frustrating and felt like a waste of time. Another example, my mom had asked about pain in her feet and if she was walking too much/overdoing it. The doctor just said "30 minutes a day 5 times a week of moderate exercise is good for you" not responding to the fact that my mom had just said she walks around *all day.* I also want to reiterate how strange and awkward the blank stares were. Terrible experience.

I would not recommend her. She seems very new and nervous. She just stares at you without taking any sort of prescriptive control or asking any follow-up questions

I thought I had made an appointment for an annual well check. At this appointment typically I am used to the practitioner questioning me about my lifestyle, family history and habits, etc. She asked me none of these things. Even though I had been to OSU several times before and all of my history was in the system, she acted like she hadn't read any of it. She basically asked me why I was there and what I wanted to do, rather than recommending whatever is best for me. I will not be returning to her.
