Worst doctor I've ever had.
Save yourself the aggravation and find another doctor. This guy was hostile from the get-go. I was in pain and he kept trying to start an argument for some reason. Truly one of the strangest experiences I've had with a medical professional.

Uncompassionate, busy tapping and typing
Dr. Decastro was uncomfortable talking with him was busy tapping his fingers, clicking the mouse and typing. Felt like he really didn't care, get over it attitude. I'm waisting his time, COLD. With my condition this is not the way you handle it it makes its worse. No bedside manners. I kept on feeling like I had to say I was sorry. Made me feel like a lost cause. Couldn't wait to leave his office like he even said we can talk more about it but probably won't get you anywhere. Maybe true but really, your the doctor and you probably shouldn't be telling a patient that with that type of condition. I felt awful sick to my stomach by the time I got to my car. I have had doctors in the past that are to the point but nothing like this. Makes me fear doctor's now even more.

Rude and condescending!!
My insurance is about to end due to my husband getting a new job so I needed some of my prescriptions refilled! My regular PCP couldn’t get me in so Dr Decastro was the only one available. WOW! I would rather die from my high blood pressure than sit in a room with this guy again! He refused to refill my medications, assumed by looking at me that I had type 2 diabetes. Then told me that losing weight wasn’t hard because he lost 40 pounds! I’m currently trying to lose 140lbs! That’s NOT the same thing! I’m also a woman with binge eating disorder, autism, and ADHD! He was dismissive, rude, unhelpful, and argumentative. I would avoid him like the plague!

My first visit with Dr. DeCastro was less than ideal. He seemed almost annoyed. His responses to my questions seemed at times dismissive. I was hesitant to schedule 2nd visit. Actually, my 2nd visit with him went really well. He took the time to explain process and treatments. Made me feel confident he would help me find answers. 3rd, 4th and 5th visits were just ok. Felt rushed through the visits. No answers, just more meds which is what I am trying to avoid. Maybe it is just ARC in general but I am actively looking for another provider.

Find a different doctor if you can
I'd already seen some other doctors for a few issues I'm currently dealing with, and I just needed some simple referrals from him that my insurance required. This guy, who I never met before, came in with a terrible attitude and a bunch of pre-conceived notions. He was rude, condescending and absolutely determined to put me in my place for whatever reason. I did get the referrals plus a lecture, and he wanted a bunch of unnecessary work done. He kept saying he was thorough, but did no examination, asked very few questions and was very argumentative.

Doesn't Care
I can only speak as a family member, but Dr. Decastro's lack of compassion and seemingly dismissive attitude towards my grandfather has brought us to the point of a lung cancer diagnosis after a visit to the ER. We went to all PCP appointments, we raised concerns, and we were continually referred out to numerous other providers, always being told there was nothing in any of his test results that pointed to a reason for 11 months of continual and significant pain. Even when it didn't make sense, we went to those specialists. No attempts were made to help him with his pain. Always talking about him and what he can't do vs. talking to him about options. I understand elderly patients have health conditions, but to act like it doesn't matter because of advanced age is callous. My grandfather is a living human being who deserves so much more than blatant disregard. If you need a primary care provider who cares and adequately manages your health, I would avoid Dr. Decastro at all costs.

Avoid him at all costs. He is incredibly rude, uncaring and rushes his patients. I had a important information about my health I wanted to share and questions I wanted to ask, but he did not allow room for that. He creates a toxic environment.

I was hesitant after reading these reviews, but Dr. DeCastro's schedule fit mine, so I made the appointment anyway, and I'm glad I did. I did not encounter any of the issues mentioned; he was knowledgeable about my symptoms, stopped frequently to ask if I had questions, and was very thorough. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the visit.

Totally agree with the other reviewer. He didn't even ask me where I hurt, or to sit up on the table. He barely looked up from the computer. Of course he was wrong and I had to deal with my problem myself.

This guy, wow. He walked in and asked my name (he didn't know?) and didn't shake my hand. He was in a huge rush and barely looked at me. My first visit with him lasted about 7 min. He was not friendly, and mostly acted annoyed to have to see me. If you want a serious doctor that will spend time with you and find out your name before the appointment, don't go to this guy! I honestly feel a duty to warn people about him.
