Dr. Vincent Codella, DO

I found Dr. Codella to be very personable and extremely thorough. He took the time to explain the blood tests and EKG and answered my questions. I was in the office for 1 hr which is normal for most doctors.

AVOID- no respect for patients- VERY LONG WAITS and 5 minute VISITS. I made an appointment after waiting on hold for over 30 minutes. The person who answered the phone was obviously rushed. My appointment time was not respected and they took walk in patients that did not have appointments before me. In summary I waited for 2 hours even though I had an appointment and the doctor saw me for 5 minutes. I will never come here again. My time was not respected and I was not impressed with the service

You've got to be kidding me with this guy, this was my second appointment for neck/shoulder nerve pain, I didn't ask for pain medicine the first visit because the pain was still tolerable. They sent me for x rays, and the technician was twisting my neck and shoulder which has made the pain ten times worse. The next appointment I asked for some pain medicine. He gave me Medrol,a steroid, which did nothing for pain and has horrible side effects. Why would I ever see this guy again? No thanks.

I had an abnormal test result which the doctor thought was a lab error. I had the test repeated and the doctor said he would call me. I waited a week then called the office. Left a message that I was calling for test results no one called me back. I called an additional 3 times over the course of the week and left messages- no one called me back. I finally gave up and obtained the results directly from the lab. I will not return to the practice and would never recommend the practice to anyone.

He doesn't care about the well-being of his patients and you can see that his heart is not in it. I waited two weeks for him to review my xrays; he told me he would give me a call the next day. It was urgent that I got my results as soon as possible to prevent my bone from healing wrong and to get it taken care of before I leave out of state for school, which i made him aware of. I tried calling and was ignored, I had to go into the office and demand the other doctor view my xrays after waiting

Completely discouraged with this office. Have waited over 2 weeks to get authorization from insurance. Have been lied to by staff. I had to walk into office with insurance on the phone. And was told they rejected authorization when in all due honesty they never requested it. Insurance company told them they are waiting for the doctor. And still going on a week later nothing. I would not recommend or continue to use this practice. Very unprofessional and from my point of view liars.

Very arrogant doctor. Spoke down to me, rushed and seemed fake. I will go elsewhere next time. Office staff was rude especially the front desk.

One of the really great things about Dr. Codella is the ease of access to him any time you need him. I've texted him on weekends, off hours you name it and he always makes it a point to return your messages asap. He has gone out of his way several times to accommodate my schedule, even so far as coming in super early to his office to examine me so that I could get to work on time. I've been a patient of Dr. Codella's for several years and have been to both his Union and North Brunswick locations
