Wonderful experience
I met in office with Dr. Bapat a couple times before surgery. He spoke with my family the while I was being prepped and gave them an overview of what he was going to do. There was also a monitor screen that had basic updates and a team member came to talk with my family with updates during my surgery. He met with them once the surgery was complete. He visited with me a few times while I was in the hospital with directions to call his office if I had any further needs or questions.

Best Surgeon Ever!
Dr. Bapat did a triple bypass on me 2 years ago. Results couldn't have been better! Great communication from beginning to end. His expertise allowed the surgery to be completed in 2 hours rather than the average 3-4 hours. This allowed for a much faster recovery as I was not out so long (faster recovery from anesthetic, i.e., brain fog, etc.) nor chest muscles strained so long for the surgery. Can't thank him enough as I was fully recovered very quickly and have no issues with exercising, walking for 3+ miles daily, etc. Wouldn't have any other cardiac surgeon operate on me!

You're in the best hands
My father just recently had open heart surgery and the best thing I can say is that Dr. Bapat did not rush through the surgery and took his time to make sure my father had the best outcome possible. He was very empathetic to my family and we knew from the start he was under the best possible care.

Dr. Bapat did a terrific job in repairing my scarred and calcified congenital bicuspid aortic valve. As a physician myself, I did extensive research on this problem, before committing to surgery. With Dr. Bapat’s guidance, I have completed surgery and I am now in rehab. He and the fine staff at MHI are top notch providers of cardiac care. I truly appreciate their excellent service.

I too had heart surgery with Dr. Bapat, this month. But he didn’t call me before surgery, and he didn’t call my family after surgery. He didn’t even call my husband right after to tell him I was all right. Matter of fact, I haven’t heard from him since! So, what does that tell YOU about Dr. Bapat!?

Dr. Bapat is an exceptional surgeon. Recently, he has successfully performed an open-heart aortic valve replacement surgery on my 76-year-old grandfather, whose aortic valve was 95% calcified. Dr. Bapat is extremely knowledgeable and professional, and he did everything he could to make my grandfather and his family feel informed and comfortable throughout this process. He met with us for an initial consultation and then called us before the surgery to explain all the details of my grandfather's condition and of the surgical intervention that was necessary. The surgery went incredibly well, and my grandfather is recovering very quickly. We are all eternally grateful to Dr. Bapat for his expertise and dedication, and we would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who needs surgical help.
