My experience with Dr Aggerwall was excellent. I was diagnosed with a rare disease, then a few months later I had a severe pulmonary embolism, which effected my heart. He was wonderful with answering my questions, keeping me informed with what was happening, what was the best treatment for me, and being in the loop with all my other doctors. He made sure my transitioning from him to pulmonary care was smooth.

Absolutely a terrible experience. He said one thing during appointment and then wrote another. His office visit note was completely incorrect and I asked him to change it. He did, however he did it in a sneaky way. In the first version of the note he claimed I did not have symptoms that I actually did and wrote my symptoms were atypical. After I wrote to him explaining that I do have those symptoms he listed, please look at the paperwork I filled out before the visit, he rewrote his note leaving out those specific symptoms but still claimed my symptoms were atypical. I did not even need him to diagnose me so I have no idea why he went this route. I already had a diagnosis which I had began lifestyle changes to manage my symptoms and was having some success. I only came to him for a follow up because he was much closer than the other office I had gone to and it was recommended that I also see a Cardiologist. Instead, this doctor tried to undo the twelve year journey it already took to get an accurate diagnosis and then discredit me by attacking my character, claiming I was upset there was no cure. I already knew there was no cure. I literally told him during the visit what I had been doing to manage it and told him which symptoms I struggled with most. I made all these changes in my life, for a couple months now (before ever seeing him) to accommodate to a life with chronic illness and he tried to take credit for going into great detail about the illness and discussing what to do to about it, yet my symptoms are atypical- if they atypical why did you take credit for telling how to manage something you think I do not have? From his note, you would not even know that I had been doing anything at all to help myself. It was full of lies and when he rewrote his note, he just made it more ambiguous so it would be more difficult to ask for changes. One more thing that was just a downright insult at this point- from the first note to the rewritten version, I went from upset there was no cure - to quite upset there was no definitive cure. I find it very interesting that he decided to emphasize this so much in the second version of the note. Why did he bother to take the time to add more detail about something that has nothing to do with my diagnosis or how to manage it?
