Dr. Vijay Katukuri, MD

I was looking for a new pain management Doctor, my old one moved, and he didn't agree with the course of treatment I was receiving. He didn't ask how I thought the current treatment was going, or discuss treatment options, and refused to even recognize there was a pain management issue (even after being treated for Chronic Back Pain for over 8 years at the time). It's about 6 years later and I'm still being treated for the same condition in a similar manner originally prescribed by my old pain management Doctor.

I highly recommend seeing Dr Katukuri if you're looking to seek long term relief instead of using narcotics (which isn't recommended for long term use)I've had several procedures done there for back pain, hip pain, and the nerve ablation has decreased some of my neuropathy symptoms.

I would not recommend this doctor to ANYONE! His staff is not well trained and are very unprofessional. The doctor told me he would do a series of injections and then do a procedure to zap a nerve in my spine. He does NOT know how to give the injections, they were extremely painful, much worse than other pain management specialists I have gone to. Also, after 2 useless injections, he told me he would not do the promised spinal procedure. Very disappointed.

My neck doctor sent me to this doctor to get ONE nerve block shot at the base of my skull...Dr. Katukuri said he disagreed and gave me TWO shots on either side of my spine, below my shoulders. The pain was horrific... and useless!!! Would not recommend!!!!

My mother just recently moved to Florida and has suffered from terrible pain in her back and legs for so very long with no relief. She was unable to receive surgery on her back since her osteoporosis progressed so much. She started seeing Dr. Katukuri and he did a procedure on her back (snipped a nerve) and she is completely out of pain. No pain meds. 100% Relief!!! I would recommend Dr. Katukuri to anyone in pain. He is very professional and cares very much for his patients overall health. My Mom can work on moving now that she can and maybe years will be added to her life. I can not thank this Dr. and his team enough.

Him and his office staff are very good in meeting my needs and listening to my concerns and addressing them so that i feel very comfortable with using them.

He is always courteous, takes the time to explain things, he listens, and he cares.

I must say that since I made my first appointment not only was Dr.K but his staff as well were the definition of professionalism. I have just had some unpleasant experiences with Physicians/Surgeons and their office staff. But the visit that I had with him was pleasant and refreshing. Himself and his staff were kind, courteous and had great "bed side manner". I actually felt like Justin Johnson, not just a number or another patient. So with that said, I give KUDOS to him and his staff.

Dr Kat is very uderstanding and listens to all you have to say,I have had numerous procedures with him and he took his time and told me everything i needed to know.I would reccomend him highly.
