Collagen is Funny
I was referred to Dr. Lorica for hypercalcemia, caused by a problem with the parathyroid, which affects the kidneys. I had undergone all the requisite tests but nothing was found. His answer was to remove my normally-functioning thyroid to 'get a better look'. After a lot of attitude and word salad, he then asked me if I was taking a calcium supplement. I said no, but that I was taking collagen. Apparently, collagen is hilarious, and he got a good chuckle out of it. I hadn't realized the current selection of doctors is so bad that they actually laugh in your face. I would definitely NOT recommend him to anyone.

WARNING: Do not see Dr. Lorica!
I saw Dr. Lorica in December 2024 and he has utterly gone off the rails. He was testy, arrogant, petulant, belittling, angry, and short. He never looked at me once or addressed me by name, and bullied me throughout the session, fairly shouting SIR! SIR! whenever I DARED to ask a question. When I finally became angry in response, he retaliated by saying he would no longer order the promised medical tests.
