Wow
She suggested my symptoms were all in my head. How can a documented autoimmune disease all be in my head? My inflammatory markers are extremely high. She said my tremors must be from drinking too much coffee. Essentially told me I need to exercise, even though I have trouble with balance due to an underlying eye condition. Wow Yale, age discrimination when she says I am too young for all of my symptoms. She lacks experience and her ego will have you suffocating.

Not every symptom is related to anxiety.
Dr. Santini did not take any of my symptoms and conditions into consideration before slapping a label on me. I tried to ask a question and Dr. Santini asked me if I had a degree in neurology. I was not allowed to ask any of the questions I brought with me. My partner tried to ask a question and she asked him if he also had a degree in neurology. Pure awful. Seek help elsewhere or you too will get a label that will follow you everywhere. Like the previous review, I too have been misdiagnosed by Dr. Santini and because of it, I have suffered optic nerve damage. Her advice was to stop drinking coffee and my tremor would go away. Yale may be prestigious, but it sure doesn’t show when you have a doctor treating a patient so poorly.

Misdiagnosed now suffering
Dr. Santini blames hard to diagnose, complex symptoms as being in your head. When trying to ask a question that she doesn’t have an answer to, she boasts how she is the one with the degree in neurology, making the patient feel like they are dumb. In doing this, she ruins the patient doctor relationship. When a doctor doesn’t know what’s wrong, they should admit it. Instead I’ve ended up misdiagnosed and now as the patient, I am suffering tremendously. If you have a complexity of symptoms, don’t bother going to see Dr. Santini. She will only leave you feeling discouraged and less confident. Doctors take an oath to help their patients, not cause more harm.

Dr Santini is an excellent Dr, extremely knowledgeable and caring. She made changes to my brother’s Parkinson’s meds as well as other meds that greatly improved his quality of life. He had severe issues with blood pressure, balance, sleep, bladder issues, etc etc etc. He had previously been to Dr Toy Alcalay, also excellent, who went back to Israel to head a Parkinson’s research institute. You would be lucky to have her!
