Vile physician. Rude and a bully.

I am a former patient as I dislike her behavior and lack of ethics.

I have been going to Dr. Alexiadis for a few years now and she caught things that other doctors missed. I always feel heard and am always given time for addressing my questions. I don't know why there are negative reviews but I assume based on my experience that any issues have since been resolved.

Dr. Alexiadis was great.. until she wasn’t there to see her patients anymore! I had two telehealth visits with her and she did a complete panel for blood test to determine the issue. Then she prescribed me something for it. It work well, until it was the time for the refill and she was NOWHERE to be found. I called her office several times and my pharmacy called then too. The extremely rude office manager told me that she won’t be able to see me until 4 months from now and if I need a prescription I can go to the Emergency room. I tried calling again and I got the same answer. Conclusion: they don’t care if you are going to die without your medication (luckily my life doesn’t depend on it), they don’t give you alternatives or solutions. This is not the 1st time a Northwell Health Endocrinologist does that, the 1st doctor I saw left the practice without letting her patients now too! AWFUL AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!

I have had my fair share of bad Endocronologists in the past unfortunately being diagnosed with diabetes at a young age. My primary doctor reccomended Dr. Alexiadis and I am very glad she did. She is an amazing doctor! Very knowledgeable, great bedside manor and caring. She takes her time explaining things and never rushes me out of her office like other doctors. 5 stars!

If You Are Looking For A Good Endo Doctor. . That Will Do Right By You. . Dr. Alexiadis Is Most Definitely Not For You Then. .

I definitely WON’T be going back to see this doctor for sure. This is a physician whom is there to do a job, not to care about her patients. I’ve written about how i felt during my first visit with this doctor in a post Northwell survey and hope that someone addresses it. Our first meeting was a few weeks ago, she came in said hello, introduced herself and went straight to the computer and started writing notes. Didn’t even wash her hands??. She questioned me and I answered her questions. She didn’t seem to care about my concerns regarding medication management, just gave me a list of injectable meds and said contact my insurance to find out what’s covered and we’ll take it from there. She examined my feet and that was about it. I felt disappointed and it showed on my face but again she didn’t seem to care.... she did ask ...”Do I have any questions?” I replied no.....I didn’t even feel to say anything else to her.

The receptionist in the front are so unprofessional.

Best doctor ever! She has excellent bedside manner, very thorough workup, and I was taken in at my appointment time, no waiting!

Dr A. is an awesome doctor. Very caring and sweet.

Amazing Doctor

I just saw Dr Alexiadis today! I can't relate to any poor reviews as she was very sweet, down to earth, great bedside manner and quite attentive. I couldn't have asked for a nicer and my concerns were absolutely addressed. I don't know the staff as this was my first visit but everyone was very nice who I did speak with. I certainly recommend the Dr and the practice.

Dr Alexiadis is the best. I always feel very comfortable with her and she always explains things thoroughly so its easy for me to understand. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. I highly reccommend.

Something fishy going on at this office. Amy and Cathy, are mean and difficult to talk to. I asked Amy about my insurance coverage for the diabetes counselor in their office and got confusing answers. Rather than clarify for me, Cathy decided to just cancel my appointment with the provider and said Dr. A ordered her to! I asked the Dr why and she denied telling Cathy to do that, but didn't seem too upset about this lie nor did she care to address my mistreatment by the rude office staff.

Horrible bedside manor . Abrupt and doesn't answer any of my questions .

Dr. Varvra Alexiadis, MD AKA Barbara Varvara. Who's incapable of making medical decisions on her own without the input of the office manager Amy. Amy is a very nasty and abusive person Unfortunately this endocrinologist is not competent enough to to make decisions on her own without the office manager's imput. HOW SAD I would not recommend this medical practice / office to anyone. Warning go there only at your own risk

She's the absolute best in her field! Shes a brilliant doctor! I'm so happy I finally found an endocrinologist that diagnosed and treated me properly!
