Dr. Varun Kumar, MD

Dr Kumar seems to be a nice doctor and he may be good but his staff is lacking. I had an endoscopy scheduled for a Friday, I was told I needed to go to their Rte 9 office for a Covid test the Monday before. I arrive and they have nothing in the computer about my covid swab. I call his office and wait for 45 min on hold. Go to the front desk and I'm told there's nothing they can do. Seriously, for a covid swab? I went on my lunch break and had to leave. Never got a response, so now I can't have the procedure on Friday, I go into their web portal and cancel the procedure. On Thursday I get a voicemail from his office confirming the procedure. What procedure? I was told they can't perform it without the swab and I cancelled it online. I spend over an hour on hold waiting and finally get through on Thursday afternoon, I told them I cancelled it & won't be rescheduling. Can't do a simple swab procedure properly, don't trust them to put me under anesthesia.

Dr. Kumar is very personable. He clearly cares about the whole patient and is careful to listen to their whole history. He spends as much time as needed and never acts rushed. He is knowledgeable about a range of treatments and is explains them clearly, answering questions and offering support.
