Dr. Vamsee Torri, MD

I am a patient of Dr. Torri's (since June 2022) and I highly recommend him. I am a RN with a masters degree in Nursing, an MBA, and I have completed the coursework for my PhD. I was a Senior Director at a Harvard Medical School healthcare system in Boston, MA for many years. I absolutely know good healthcare and treatment when I see and expereince it and Dr. Torri is the best! I have an incurable, difficult to treat condition, and Dr. Torri has been both very straightforward about the limits of cure/treatment and yet also very thoughtful and creative about recommending treatments that are suited for me. He is very interested in research and when I have brought scientific articles to his attention he is either already aware of them or open to the infomation contained in them. I suggested a 2nd opinion and Dr. Torri was in whole hearted agreement with that suggestion. Without reservation I recommend Dr. Torri.

Its with the greatest regard we write this review. My wife was diagnosed with metastatic (stage four) cancer in Nov/Dec of 2020 @ St Joseph Hospital. Her condition was so severe that it was felt she could not survive chemo therapy and were in the process of sending her home to family with hospice for her last days. It was at this time we met Dr. Torrie who convinced St Joe's Hospital to let him slowing introduce her to a Chemo therapy he thought she may respond well to, that was twenty-seven months ago. Since then he has changed up her treatment a number of times to stay ahead of the return and growth of the cancer and through a lot of personal care and treatment she is enjoying a quality of life that we have attributed to her treatment through Dr Torri and the goodness of God. UGH! Cancer! Not what I was planning for the year 2022. Was an emotional time, but I had my 1st visit with Dr. Torri who explained in detail my treatments and options. He was patient with all my questions and concerns and by the time I left that 1st visit, I felt at eased that Dr. Torri and his team at the cancer center was the best for me. He has been there by my side for the past almost year, calling me at home if a concern aroused, kept in contact with my surgeon, radiation, and primary doctor. What started out as the most scary thing I have encountered, I'm forever grateful for Dr. Torri and his team.....I finish treatment middle of this month and will be monitored for a time, but I get to go live my life and get back to normal :) Thank you Dr. Torri

Two years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic kidney cancer. To this day, I'm profoundly grateful to Dr. Torri and the Dignity Health Cancer Institute for literally saving my life. Over the past two years, Dr. Torri has advised me on a treatment plan and monitored me for the potential return of the cancer. Dr. Torri is extremely knowledgeable and upfront about what can and can't be done, about what they (medical science) know and don't know. He's never left me confused about my options, or where I stand. Although Dr. Torri hasn't always had the luxury of sharing good news with me, he's compassionate and quick to convey hope when appropriate.

Dr. Torri is professional and courteous. He's very direct with his patients an pulls no punches. He spends adequate time with his patients.
