Brilliant Caring Physician
After having been diagnosed with a rare and deadly cancer, C. U. P. at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, DFCI, (Harvard) I then went to Memorial Sloan Kettering, NYC for a second opinion. They confirmed DFCI ‘s diagnosis. Both gave me 6- 12 months to live! I was referred to receive my treatment at U of Penn under the care of Dr. Teitelbaum. She was the only physician that ran multiple additional tests to try and find the primary cancer which is key in treating this cancer!! She is easy to talk to, a great listener and a brilliant scientific mind! I am still here 16 months later with a good quality of life! Although there is no cure for my cancer, she has never given up, as the two previous hospitals and doctors did. She actively includes me in all treatment decisions and explains everything in understandable terms without being condescending! She cares. I cannot sing her praises highly enough! She is providing the highest quality of care!!

Dr. Teitelbaum was so compassionate when she treated my brother during his battle with pancreatic cancer. It was a great comfort to him and our family. I turned to her for help in locating the right doctor when I had a suspicious spot on my mammogram. She directed me to the right person and the appropriate tests were conducted at Penn Medicine. I was relieved to get the news that it was just a blood vessel in a different area after my breast cancer surgery.

This Dr is horrible. My mother went to her for pancreatic cancer. They told her she was cancer free and today she is in hospice unresponsive. They did f/u CT of the abdomen and told her she had fatty deposits on her liver it was ok. My mom just became sicker and sicker the Dr told her it was in her mind and never did a biopsy on her liver. She now has a 3.4 cm tumor that has obstucted her liver she is dying. She went to the Dr on a reg about her pain they just upped her antidepressant.

Dr. Teitlebaum has a warm smile and an air of confidence about her. She is easy to communicate with and is extremely thorough in her exam. She explained my condition in simple language and had several recommendations to offer. I would highly recommend her to friends and family.

Dr. Teitelbaum has been an amazing guide through the horrible world of cancer treatment. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable, which is reassuring but she is also compassionate and caring. we would've never made it without her.

Dr. Teitelbaum and her team has been there to help my wife and I understand what is going on with my pancreatic cancer. She has been very responsive to my inquiries. I am a true believer that you must own your care, so I feel good that my comment and inputs based on the literature are received as positives. I would and have recommended Dr. Teitelbaum and the UPenn network for others seeking care.

She should be stripped of her MD license and should be thrown out of UPenn. She made us wait 2 hours, didn't know anything about my husband's case history and volunteers prognosis of 2-3 years. She had no right to say such things especially if we went there just to discuss more available treatment options and were referred to her by our oncologist. She is arrogant and has no heart. Her crystal bowl shows she'll live another 100 years, shame on her.
