Dr Siraj - A Lady Who is Smart and Cares
5 stars Dr Siraj and her staff performed my first endoscopy and colonoscopy today. My first appointment and today's appointment were on-time. She was knowledgeable and listened to what I had to say. She and her staff explained both procedures to me, what to expect before, during and after. They relieved my fears. I appreciated Terri offering me a blanket. Sedra, Brenda, Terri and Jayne were all amazing. In a world full of negativity, I just want to thank each of you for all you do by taking care of others. You make a positive difference in the world! I appreciate it!

Does not take patient symptoms seriously
Dr. Siraj tends to not listen to patient and dismisses debilitating pain, ignored patient complaint of symptoms and this eventually led to a more severe condition. Then recommended expensive tests. Did not discuss test results with patient. Referred to another provider with no discussion with patient. In general not a very compassionate or caring doctor. Office staff very nice. They really should put fans or music in restrooms for office setting with patients there for digestive disorders, as it is embarrassing to use the restroom at the facility.

I awoke from the endoscopy by Dr Siraj with excruciating pain in my throat. Next day I have blisters, erosion, pus on my uvula, redness and pain in my throat. Difficulty swallowing, drinking and eating because of the pain. I called three times. Denies any of these symptoms could have resulted from the procedure. Tells me to gargle with Listerine and make an appt with an ENT because she does not treat the throat region and believes the issue has nothing to do with the endoscopy. Complications do arise from endoscopy. I could have a possible infection or other issue and she is telling me to see an ENT - who I likely will not be able to get in to see for a month, who was not present during the procedure and who I will have to pay additional fees out of pocket. This Dr shows no concern for her patients or passion for her craft. This Dr is only interested in procedures and diagnosis, not patients. Selfish. Lacks empathy. Poor medical ethics and practice.

"Dr. Siraj is outstanding. She managed my case for 10 years. She is very knowledgeable and follows best practices. She develops a plan and explains everything. During my appointment I felt I was her only concern; she remembered everything about my history. When I had to relocate she encouraged me to find a local physician. I found a nationally known specialist at the CLE Clinic. After reviewing my records he said, “ Your physician managed your case exquisitely.” "

Dr. Siraj was condescending, rude and had her mind made up what was wrong with me before even speaking to me. Her diagnosis was I was simply an overly anxious person. I switched doctors in the practice who was no better. Dr. Peddanna didn’t ask me any questions when I saw him either just said I had irritable bowel and when I tried to explain I couldn’t even get the food to the bowel before I was miserable, he simply smiled and said “I’ll see you in a year”. 30 pound weight loss, 3 doctors, 1 year in misery and after begging to have my gall bladder checked with this practice and being dismissed because they obviously know my body better than I do, I’ll be having my gall bladder removed tomorrow because it had zero functionality. Do yourself a favor, find doctors that listen to you and don’t feel they are above you!

Dr Siraj listened and explained all my tests and results. She got my IM doc to refer me on. When I was admitted to MVH with severe GI bleeding she LITERALLY saved my life.

I've been having a lot of pain for almost a year in my chest and she did a few tests, called it acid reflux (which it isn't) and put me on 3 medications and then just said to call her if anything changed. She comes into the room says hi asks you a few questions and then after a few minutes leaves. It makes me feel like she doesn't care about her patients and it becomes frustrating being put on so many medications (I'm on 7 now just for my pains, none of which really help) and no real answer.
