Dr. Akhtar is compassionate, extremely knowledgeable and has an excellent bedside manner. He is a good listener and pays particular attention to a patient's history, especially past medications. In my son's case, he ran a DNA test that matches a variety of medications against his DNA. The results indicated that all of the medications that he had previously been prescribed by other doctors were contraindicated for my son. He returns calls promptly and genuinely cares about the patients he treats.
