Dr. Umair Ahmed, MD

Umair Ahmed was assigned as admitting doctor for my spouse and we had no prior knowledge of him. The ten days or so he was supposed to be in charge were a waste of time. WHEN he showed up he was only able to spout old test results that we already knew about.. On day 5 or 6 when I asked what days and what time of day to expect him he tried to say that he was here very early and that's why I missed him. What he didn't know that I was here during the times he quoted and he was not. Further, he demonstrated incompetence as the Dr in charge of my spouse's care and he did not lead. Most of the staff in the facility don't know what he looks like though he has been on staff for several months. He cannot effectively manage your care when he doesn't engage with the caregivers. I was happy to get rid of him. The new doctor shows up every single day, is approachable, engages, and offers tips as to how family can participate in my spouse's recovery. This guy needs to grow up and step up.
