Dr. Ip and his team at Newport Orthopedic Institute provided exceptional care for my wife after her wrist fracture. We were impressed with how quickly she was scheduled—same-day service after a morning call. The front office staff was welcoming, and a skilled nurse conducted a thorough evaluation.Dr. Ip listened carefully, reviewed her X-rays, and explained the fracture in detail. When a new X-ray revealed misalignment, he clearly outlined treatment options, helping her decide on open reduction and internal fixation surgery with a plate for optimal recovery.The team coordinated her surgery within two days, and the casting nurse adjusted her cast with great care to provide comfort. We’re incredibly grateful for the kind, knowledgeable, and professional care from Dr. Ip and his team.

Working for years for orthopedic depart. at Hoag , I did recommended Dr Tze C.Ip hand,Wrist,trigger fingers MD, to my daughter. BIG MISTAKE . She did seen him today. Totally dismissed her pain. ' Nothing can be done, is age related ' His response. No treatment was suggested ,no treatment remanded, no xray, no MRI , ? age related? she is only 54 ) 'Take over the counter medications, and deal with the pain.' REALLY ? WOW. She asked for a note for work first HE REFUSED.Her job as a S.S. requires to type her notes after each patient. VERY PAINFUL. Her hand is painful all the time , swollen in her knuckles. HE DISMISS EVERYTHING. What kind of patient care is this .So Sorry for my Daughter , or any other patients whom are treated like this.He is there to help patients , not to dismiss them. Do not see Dr. Tze c. Ip, I will never, ever recommend him , not even to my enemies.Attention office manager,Medical Director, CEO.He doesn't belong @ HOAGDr.Ip, apologize to my Daughter

Saw Dr. Ip a year plus ago for pain in my left thumb. He took x-rays and said that I had arthritis, it's only going to get worse, and there was nothing he could do for me. He showed me some braces I could use. Well that was helpful and encouraging (sarcastic). I sought out a doctor near my home in Mammoth Lakes and everyone I told this story to couldn't believe it. I am starting OT and have gotten encouragement from doctors and therapists that they can help. Thank you for nothing Dr. Ip.

I have had multiple appointments with Dr. Ip, both before and after my elbow surgery. He has always had a caring and professional approach, and answers all of my questions to my satisfaction. I don't understand some of the reviews elsewhere here, as my experience has been positive. The office staff have also been very helpful and caring.

I had a horrible experience with Dr.Ip. His bedside manner is atrocious. I would not recommend him to my friends or family. I will not return to him.

Dr. Ip does not believe in practicing social distancing. Spend 20 minutes filling out paperwork online to streamline the check-in process and minimize the wait in the doctor’s office. When I showed up, the office was crowded. After ten minutes, the receptionist informed me the doctor was backed up and that there were four patients ahead of me. I Cancelled the appointment and would not go back.

He was brilliant. He was on time had me fixed up in no time. His demeanor was friendly, but very professional. He had to surgically fix a very broken finger.

He was ok for my non surgical visit.

The visit with the doctor was brief but helpful. I was told to wear a thumb brace for 2-3 weeks. I informed the doctor that I had one. He said that theirs would be better. The appt. was late Friday and I returned the brace at 8:30 Monday morning. The one they had given me was no better than the other one. I was told that it was not returnable. I elected not to argue with the receptionist. Googled the brand and found that they had charged me DOUBLE the retail price. I will be much more active in my medical care from this point forward. AND NO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CARE PROVIDER.
