An Insightful Psychiatrist and Treatment Partner
Dr Wooten is amazing. He was great as my daughter's psychiatrist.Where he really shines is with his Educational weekly Q&A session every Monday. His Talk Back Bootcamp is even better, and makes my Friday's complete. My 16 year old daughter went into the Residency program for her Eating Disorder. She was there for 8 weeks. She ultimately required a nasogastric tube (NG tube) to help her reach her meal plan and reaching her weight goal. She actually decided to get the NG tube on her own. The experience, while not initially pleasant, helped her get her digestion system rehabilitated.I was nervous when she went in, and believe it was a good decision.

Dr. Wooten is not a doctor I can recommend in good faith. His knowledge of issues pertaining to substance abuse disorders, depression, and anxiety disorders was shockingly sparse. His treatment methods involve dream interpretation and other practices not based in science. This is the one doctor I have seen that added almost no value to my life, and possibly led me down the wrong path. I do not want this review to seem like I am blaming my life choices on Dr. Wooten. I simply believe that he does

Does not care to know about patients or understand their situation. Does not understand the nuances of addiction, whether it involves eating disorders or drugs. Do NOT sign a HIPAA for release of information for any other doctor's who made read his diagnosis/findings. He is uncaring and would much rather see as many patients as possible than focus on a correct medical diagnosis. Does not listen; will stop prescribing medicine which could cause potentially deadly consequences.
