Dr. Tyler Skaife, MD

From my experience, Dr Skaife did a great job with the surgery itself but not with the post op portion. Did not listen to another doctor; which while I appreciate the confidence, potentially is the reason my partner ultimately did not survive 4 months past the operation date. I don’t feel that the complications were taken seriously enough.

I typically don't leave reviews, but want to share my experience with those who are looking for an ortho surgeon. I recently had total right shoulder arthroplasty (shoulder replacement) and spent several weeks researching various surgeons. I didn't necessarily care about bed-side manner, but was looking for an excellent technical surgeon - I am thrilled that I found both in Dr. Skaife. He explained in detail the procedure, the reason why I needed to do it now rather than wait, and gave me all my options. I decided to go ahead with the procedure and am now 8-weeks post-op with minimal pain and a good understanding of what I need to do in rehab and why. We went over the x-rays post-op which he explained in detail and I am convinced the surgery went well because he is an excellent technician. I am considering the same procedure to address issues with my left shoulder and will not hesitate to schedule with Dr. Skaife - Thanks, doc, for a great experience and outcome!

Dr. Skaife is an Excellent Orthopedic Surgeon! I unfortunately have much experience with him in that I have very severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and have have multiple Joint Replacement Surgeries done by Dr. Dr.Skaife. He is a caring Compassionate and very skilled Doc with exceptional patient interaction. I am experienced having had well over 100 surgeries by multiple Orthopedic Surgeons, and he is by far the Best!

Dr. Skaife is great. He listened to my concerns when initially discussing the surgery option and explained, to my satisfaction, both the surgery details and the recovery process. Post-op he took the time to share, with photos, what he saw and what he did along with the justification. But most importantly, 9-months post-op, I have recovered really well and have returned to all desired activities without any lingering pain or loss of mobility. I’m thrilled.

I really appreciate his straight forward approach and willingness to answer my questions as struggled with my decision of whether or not to have surgery. I felt he was very honest and gave good reasons for his recommendation but was very will to honor my concerns and uphold the integrity of the process.
