Dr. Trudy Hartman, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Hartman for 10 years and I think she's the smartest therapist I've ever worked with. I'm a neuroscientist myself, so I can attest to her expertise in her field. Equally importantly, she is also extremely kind, patient, and insightful. Her help has changed my life profoundly for the better. For example, she encouraged me to try antidepressants again, even though I'd not had huge luck with them in the past. She prescribed one I hadn't tried before, and it turned out to be the right one for me, and I finally felt really good again after years of chronic low-level depression and years of having tried everything else (talk therapy, yoga, meditation, etc. etc. etc.) I only wish I could afford to see her more often than I do!

I have been seeing Dr. Hartman for over fourteen years. She is the most conscientious, caring doctor I know. She listens intently and works with me to solve my problems, she will never stop until the problem is solved. She is extremely knowledgeable, and caring. She has spent probably over 40 hours of her personal time helping me with family matters. When I have called on an emergency basis, she calls back immediately. She is an exceptional doctor,who is very caring and giving.
