Dr. Troy Scheidt, MD

I was referred to Dr. Scheidt by my primary care doctor. I have been waiting to see an ENT for over 3 months. Upon his entering he asked, 'Why are you here.' I explained fully the issues I have been struggling with. After the exam he stated everything was fine & he couldn't help me. He further stated, 'You walk in here complaining of voice issues. I have never met you before, but you sound fine to me.' I tried to explain what I do for a living & that having a voice is essential to doing my job. I offered to demonstrate & he shut me down by stating 'I'm trying to help you... I see nothing wrong.' He offered nothing to verify I had a problem & no suggestions on how to resolve it. This doctor was arrogant, demeaning & not helpful.

Went out of his way to help me and did a perfect job! You can't ask for or find a better professional care giver. Dr. Scheidt is a top provider in his field in every way. s

Dr. Scheidt Was absolutely phenomenal with my 42-year-old daughter for a left partial thyroidectomy. He was compassionate explained everything very clear detail gave great understanding asked if we had any questions he was just very concerned and very thorough with everything he did we were more than pleased with his skill bedside manner personal manner and his concern with each one of the family members that was there asking if we had any more questions that we understand was there anything else he needed to explain he was just wonderful.

Had Papillary thyroid carcinoma surgery Dec. 4, 2018, He was very thorough in my first visit to him and he was and is a great Surgeon, very thorough very kind and very smart. I really like him and would rate him an over the top 5 rating...

Dr. Scheidt explained everything thoroughly, discussing all options. He was professional and respectful. The office staff was very nice.

He is rude, arrogant, and condescending. It took too long to get an appointment to see him, when I was in the office I waited for over an hour to see him, and it took over a week for test results. I would never recommend Dr. Scheidt to anyone.

Dr Scheidt is a very intellegent man who has no people skills. He provides good medical care, but often makes people feel stupid or like they are a burden to him. We have been seeing him for 3 years, bc I don't want to go through the hassle of changing doctors, but I look forward to the day we no longer need his services.

I am an intelligent man, having received an engineering degree from Missouri S&T many, many years ago. Before the procedure, I questioned Dr. Scheidt about the tracheal stenosis balloon dilation, he became agitated and very short with me. Treating me as some kind of idiot. He was the "doctor" and knew what was best. Very rude, condescending and a general jerk. We will NOT be using this arrogant p*ick in the future!! There are other more qualified and respectful physicians in Columbia, MO.

He was Not helpful at all, and he's way over priced. His answer for my medical problem, was I don't know! And then charged me a fortune.

I took my son in to see Dr. Scheidt as I see another doctor in the same office. Dr. Scheidt recommended surgery but became annoyed when I asked questions regarding my son's diagnosis and the surgical procedure. Not only was he visibly annoyed but he also made me feel stupid for asking questions. I cannot comment if he is a skilled doctor or not because I could not get past his lack of good bedside manner.
