Referral visit 1/18/2024 could not have gone any better. Front office polite, efficient and precise. Consultation included several tests and a review of my MRI images with a complete and understandable explanation. Very pragmatic and realistic diagnosis, which did not include a recommendation for surgery. Simply, when a surgeon does not recommend surgery it is a very good sigh they are trustworthy. Prescribed therapy should help dealing with my condition which has no way of being corrected or reversed. Not good news for me but knowing truly where I stand is what I wanted, expected and received.

Beware he shouldn't be a doctor
Hands down the worst doctor I have ever seen or heard of excluding Jack Kevorkian....he is the 10 min quick lube of medicine. You can't get you oil changed correctly in 10 mins how does he do exam in 10mins from door to door.. beware he does not care about you or your health

The most horrific medical experience of my life
Bad from the start! The Dr's assistant "Nancy" who I met on my first visit, was a very rude and extremely condescending witch. I was so concerned after my visit with her I asked for another appointment to speak to Dr. Dr Lowell, who told me he did 100 spinal cord stimulator surgeries a year and I was in good hands. It's been my worst nightmare, the surgery went terribly wrong, I was taken by ambulance from the surgery center to the hospital with excruciating pain in the opposite leg I want in for treatment. The Dr came to the hospital the next day and told me he made a mistake" he nicked my spinal nerve", I would be better in a "couple weeks"3 days later I was told a "couple months" and I would be recovered. I spent 7 days in the hospital 2 weeks in rehab for his mistake. Nearly 6 months from surgery, I am in excruciating pain from the surgery every single day. Doctor Lowell has NEVER inquired about my condition Be very careful, seek another Doctor. Lowell does not care.

In 2006 Dr. Lowell repaired my spine. He had to put rods in to stabilize the spine. He corrected two other spine surgeon's mistakes. I wouldn't let no other doctor touch my spine except for Dr. Lowell. He knows what he's doing, takes his time, and does a great job. You can trust him, I did and I'm glad I did.

I saw Dr.Lowell one time for a work related injury, for 3-4 minutes, he said there is nothing he can do for my back pain and sent me to PT. Upon returning after 4 weeks of PT i was scheduled to see Dr.Lowell but ended up seeing some assistant named Nancy. She was rude and disrespectful. I told her the PT was seeming to help and it was some relief after months of pain. She said she would give me 2 more weeks of PT and if i wasn't better after that i should find another job. After i left the office she sent me back to work full duty with no PT at all, without my knowledge. I was waiting for PT to call to schedule my appt's but instead my job called and told me i was expected to return to work the next day, in pain,no PT, and no further medical assistance needed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU HAVE A WORK RELATED INJURY- THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.

I went visit Dr.Lowell for a workers comp injury- he said there was nothing he could do for me and he saw no issues. Other doctors at the orthopedic institute did find some issues. He sent me to PT, whole appt lasted about 45 seconds. Went back 4 weeks later some rude assistant lady was there. My PT wanted me to do 4-8 more weeks of therapy. The rude lady wanted to send me back to work full duty while going to PT for 4 weeks still in pain. I told her I don’t think I am ready to go back full duty because I’m still in pain . She reduced the PT to 4 visits and told me if I’m not better after 4 visits I need to find a new job. I have never met such a disrespectful person who is supposed to help me with my medical issues. This business is a joke and a scam to get you to drop any workers comp claim. Stay far away from this place, your medical care is not their priority.

I walked into the office hunched over in pain due to spinal stenosis. The reception staff, nurses and PA Nancy were very pleasant and professional. The procedure to remove parts of some vertebrae was explained completely. My pain was gone when I awakened from surgery and I took a walk thru the woods near our home the next morning. I was released today. Life is good.

I went to Dr Lowell for an IME. He spent a total of 10 minutes in the office with me, NEVER taking out a medical tool, or a measuring device to do the report. Rather, he said he needed further medical scans to continue,---X-rays abs MRI's. I agreed they would be helpful in giving such a important opinion, which would influence a judge for an insurance company, and waited to hear back. HE WROTE HIS REPORT BEHIND MY BACK, AND IN PLAIN ENGLISH BURRIED ME, AGAIN, WITHOUT USING A SINGLE MEASURING INSTRUMENT!! Pretty good foe 10 minutes, My motto is this----any doctor who would LIE for the sake of financial gain has broken his code, as well as GOD's code!! Good luck Doctor, hope the money was worth the time I will tell every soul who will listen!!

Having really bad osteoarthritis, I have had numerous joints replaced. Dr Lowell has done them all. He is a very informed and professional Dr. Nancy the P.A. is excellent too. My 88 year old mom had knee replacement done there and Nancy was soo good with her, explaining everything very patiently. As well, the staff is great ~ All warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this practice for all orthopedic needs.

If you are a workers compensation case stay away from from Dr. Lowell. If Dr. Lowell can not perform surgery on you he wants nothing to do with you, and does not care if your having pain. He states pain is part of life and just suffer through it and go back to work. I found a wonderful caring doctor who is treating my pain.

He saw the doctor 1 day . For 10 minutes, after that it was the PA who hurt him repeatedly. Couldn't see anything on the mri, but 2 weeks later said he saw something. Prescribed muscle relaxers and pretty much brushed his pain off, then released him knowing he has nerve pain in his leg from disc pain. No restrictions, wow! Watching my husband suffer in pain, I would NEVER recommend this office.

Dr. Lowell operated on my neck/back and it was a life changing event. In one surgery he fixed an exploded disc and the most pain I had was when they removed a bandaid. I would recommend him to friends and family.

I made appointment with Dr. Lowell and was scheduled in 2 months. The day before the appointment, I received an automated message confirming my appointment with the PA. I called and said that I made an appointment with the Doctor. I was told that the Doctor was busy and I could only see the PA but the Doctor would be there and look over chart. I said I would like to reschedule and see the doctor. I was told that it would be a 2 month wait. I went to see PA and Doctor had left for the day.

Acted like he was guessing at my symptoms after I literally pointed to where my pain was coming in from in my shoulder. Did not trust this DR's opinion what so ever. Found a new MD locally that I am very happy with now.
