Dr. Travis James, DO

I hate leaving bad reviews but I want to warn people. I had a serious cancer that Dr James missed. He did a biopsy, which was inconclusive. He then proceeded to tell me the redness was getting better, which it wasn't. The big concern for me, besides not knowing what it was. Is his lack of concern and curiosity. He spent at the most 5 minutes reviewing the progress of his treatment. I might have a better chance of surviving this if he had recognized what it was.

I was referred to Dr. James by my FNP for a chronic issue with plantar warts (5 years) and a recent outbreak of a significant number of warts on my hand. Dr. James listened to my concerns, explained a number of options, and prescribed a compound cream. I felt that he clearly was interested in helping me. The prescribed compound worked and am wart free after 5 years of OTC's and home remedies. For all of the above reasons, I would highly recommend Dr. James.

Articulate, caring, knowledgeable, skilled.

Dr. James is truly an expert in his field. He is so knowledgeable and professional. I have struggled with melasma and finally found help in Dr. James. He provided me with various treatment options and also educated me as to why other treatments previous doctors had recommended could make my melasma worse. He is a skilled clinician when it comes to aesthetics. I have benefitted from his artistry with both fillers and botox and could not be happier! I feel more youthful without looking "plastic".

Great Dermatologist

I have seen Dr James more than once and have had great experiences both times! On one visit he gave me peace of mind about some mysterious moles and on another occasion he smoothed out my forehead wrinkles with Botox injections. I really appreciate his calming and confident demeanor as well as his subtle and delicate handling of needles.

Dr. James is a fantastic doctor. He is very knowledgeable. He explained and answered questions in a way I could understand. He is easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable. I feel very confident in Dr. James as mine and my family’s dermatologist.

Dr. James has always been very knowledgeable with any questions or concerns I have. Is very friendly and easy to talk with. I never felt like i was burdening him with my concerns.

Dr. James did a wonderful job treating my children. He was professional but also very approachable. My kids thought he was very kind. His treatment was spot on and his staff was very courteous. I’m glad we found an excellent dermatologist for our family. We would recommend him to anyone and plan on seeing him in the future for all of our skin care needs.

I am one of those patients who hate needles, but with some questionable dark spots on my neck, I knew I needed to go visit a dermatologist to have them removed. I was scheduled to meet with Dr. James and I am so glad that I was! He was very personable and eased my nervous within the first few minutes of my visit with him. He was able to remove my spots leaving little to no scars and I’m extremely happy with the results. I highly recommend Dr. James to all in need of a GREAT dermatologist!

I saw Dr. James for a skin exam, where he detected and biopsied a worrisome spot that turned out to be a skin cancer. My wife and I were understandably concerned with the diagnosis but Dr. James took the he time to answer all of our questions and put our minds at ease. He did a wonderful job with the following surgery and I am very happy with the cosmetic appearance of my scar. He did a wonderful job start to finish.

Dr. James did not listen to or respect me. As a result, his level of care can only called poor. Even worse, he blew me off and did not take me seriously. In my mind, this is a fatal flaw in any health care provider. It is completely unacceptable in a physician. To add insult to injury, he completely overlooked serious skin problems I had and the reasons for them. Yet worse, he provided no useful diagnosis.
