Dr. Tracy Frombach, DO

Non-surgical orthos at Kaiser are generally not very good at the VERY often needed soft tissue diagnosis or treatment. Generally they are quick to dx by x-ray, then propose PT or steroid injections. Beyond that a 'surgical consult'. As an example, none of the several I consulted seem to know about percutaneous needle tenotomy techniques that can help with trigger points & scar tissue in muscles & tendons. Relative to others in this dept, at least Dr Frombach has some understanding that soft tissue exists, and makes a good faith attempt to dx (albeit, like every other DO or physiatrist at Kaiser, based on insufficient knowledge). Good personality, friendly, mostly listens, willing to consider beyond the 1st obvious dx. Very willing to work with me & discuss options. Sadly, being wrong 50 percent of the time is as good as you will find in an orthopedist at Kaiser.

I had a very poor experience with this provider. She misgendered me multiple times and demonstrated very poor active listening skills during the appointment. She only corrected the misgendering after I asked to speak to her supervisor. She demonstrated a strong weight bias and made incorrect assumptions about my health behaviors based on what she assumed my weight was. This made it difficult for me to get timely, evidence based care for my issue.

Dr. Frombach takes time to explain everything in easy to understand terms and answered all my questions without me feeling rushed. She is very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. I have seen her three times now, and have received the same exellant quality care each time.

Listens well, explains diagnosis and provides clear treatment options.

Dr Frombach was a great listener. I felt she took my concerns seriously and had ideas on next steps. She provided immediate treatment while ordering additional testing. I did not have to wait long for the appointment. The medical team was excellent helping my had splints and exercises. I felt very grateful to have her work with me on my health needs. I am always impressed with the continuation of care that Kaiser provides.

Dr Frombach spent a lot of time with me and understood my concerns. She offered helpful suggestions and encouragement.

My experience with Dr. Frombach was a horrible nightmare. I think she should consider a different occupation altogether. Someplace where she doesn't interact with the public or their health issues. I fear for the patients under her care. She doesn't have the correct license to be working in an Orthopaedic department.
