very disappointed
I saw this Doctor for anxiety. I have a lot of experience seeing good doctors in CA for anxiety. and a career where I hired doctors like this person. I expected with her extensive background and schooling that she would provide good services. I was disappointed in my treatment protocol and plan. One time during my session, she told me I needed to see her 4/5 times a week, to which I said ," wow"...then I need inpatient if that's the case!! She was interested in my private pay. I spent 27K! she seemed uninterested and 'bored' in session. many times She took a pill, mint? in session under her tongue. One time she yawned. one time she said take extra meds and be with my abusive husband! mis- diagnosed that he was a covert narcissist actively frauding me! he chose her for me. when I stopped treatment she ended by saying, "I had murderous rage and a dangerous childhood." unacceptable! I never left session feeling supported.

I recently started seeing Dr. Luther. I found her to be a compassionate, knowledgeable person. She’s a good listener; non-judgement and not a “pill pusher”. She offered good advice; very easy to talk to and never rushed me through our sessions. Although she does not accept MCR assignment, she was opened to alternative payment options. Her goal was to help those who seeks out her assistance. More providers should be like Dr. Luther.

After almost 45 years and a dozen psychiatrists, I found Dr. Luther. She has helped me to deal with my severe bipolar disorder and associated difficulties. I drive two hours back and forth every week to see her. That's how effective she is.

Dr. Luther was my therapist in for 8 years until she left for Ohio. I've yet to find anyone better in New York City (which says it all). She is enormously talented, creative, cogent, empathetic and insightful.
