Dr. Tosha Balfour, MD

In 2020, I was faced with the hardest personal experience of my life to process, breast cancer. I did not have the luxury of researching a radiation oncologist while in the hospital. As you would expect, I was assigned a doctor to oversee my treatment. Dr. Tosha Balfour-Williams was a Godsent! When I later looked at her credentials, not only was I pleasantly surprised, but comforted I was in excellent hands. Moving forward to 2022, I was faced with yet another daunting situation. When the neurosurgeon said the spot on my brain was too small to operate, I knew exactly who I was going to consult with for my radiation care. Dr. Balfour-Williams specializes in the type of treatment suggested by the neurosurgeon, which was an added bonus for me. She made the right decisions at the right time for my health. With Dr. Balfour-Williams you can expect thoroughness every step of the way. She and her staff were exemplary, caring, kind and compassionate. As aforementioned, I was admitted into the hospital during COVID, so my family was not able to be there with me and Dr. Balfour-Williams kept my family updated of my condition. With her guidance, it was a partnership for me to make wise decisions. I received outstanding care from Dr. Balfour-Williams, first-rate doctor – I recommend her 1000%.

It is an honor to share our experience of a wonderfully compassionate, determined, and knowledgeable physician such as, Dr. Balfour-Williams. Without her expertise and keen understanding of how radiation can impact some cancer cells, my mother's non-hodgkin's lymphoma diagnosis would steadily worsen. Dr.  Balfour-Williams took a chance at extending my mom's life, and with God's grace the radiation worked well for mom. To date, the targeted lymph nodes have disappeared and mom's pre-radiation energy has returned. We know that mom has a ways to go, but with physician's like Dr. Balfour-Williams in her corner, she is confident that she can continue fighting; serving as a testament to others of God's goodness. I received radiation treatment at Northside Radiation Oncology Midtown, under the care of the WONDERFUL, Doctor Balfour-Williams! I am so grateful for the personal recommendation I received for Dr. Balfour-Williams, as she has an excellent staff, and she herself is just a wonderful person to experience as well. From our first appointment, she has always been attentive to me and my needs. She has been very knowledgeable and prepared me for my radiation treatments, advising me at every phase what there was to expect, and how I could make the process more comfortable for myself. She gave me great recommendations for how to care for my skin, while I was receiving treatment. Dr. Balfour-Williams was very thorough and was never dismissive of any of my concerns. I was dx with breast cancer at the age of 33. During that time I didn't know what was up or down. God place Dr. Balfour Williams in my life and she made things run smoother. She is a wonderful listener, has great bedside manners, and she made sure that my mom and I understood the process of my treatments. I can say Dr. Balfour Williams is a great doctor and truly cared for me and also my family. Three years later I am CANCER FREE! ! ! Dr Balfour has the perfect Bedside Manner . She takes time to listen to your concerns as well as explain in detail of what is to be expected from her treatment . I love her Professionalism. She has made me feel totally confident in her ability to treat me and I would highly recommend her to anyone . She is truly Amazing and I would not trade her under any circumstances .
