High Intervention
Dr. Trobough has great bedside manner towards his patients, I’ll give him that. He appears kind, approachable, and reasonable. As a birth worker, though, I have seen firsthand the amount of manipulation he does to his patients. He speaks down to nurses and staff, often berating and discrediting them in front of patients. I have personally overheard him tell nurses in the morning that “I’ll be back at 5:30, have the OR ready to go” when speaking of a first time laboring patient in the early stages of labor. He absolutely intervenes in labors for his own convenience and schedule, I’ve seen it time and time again. If you’re looking for a highly medicalized birth, he’s your guy. If you’re not, and you’re wanting true informed consent, avoid at all costs.

Dr. Todd Trobough is highly skilled, knowledgeable of current practices and an educator to his patients. He communicates in layman's language so the patient understands, and delivers difficult to hear information with a pastoral heart. He takes time to answers questions. I have highly recommended him to my gal pals.
