Dr. Todd Tolbert, MD

Dr. Tolbert has been my cardiologist for nearly 11 years. I always feel so cared for whenever I see him. His knowledge of my overall health is always amazing. My PCP recommended him to me and I am forever grateful!

Dr. Tolbert actually listens to what the patient has to say. He looks at me when speaking and does not type away on his computer. He is thorough in his explanations and offers both suggestions and alternatives. His medical assistant, Dana, is an absolute gem.

Every visit with Dr. Tolbert makes me feel as if I am in the best place possible. His knowledge and manner of conveying it is very comforting. You never feel rushed and he listens carefully to any concerns. You feel as if the care you get could not possibly be any better. I also was impressed at the respect he has from his staff and peers.

So glad I found my way finally to Dr Tolbert a few years ago. I drive over two hours to see him but I wouldn’t ever go to anyone else even if they were a short drive away. Always coming in knowing me and my record. Asking if there’s any change. Listening attentively and taking the time to explain any and all concerns if any. No rushing you in and out. He’s very knowledgeable and very courteous and kind. Upon leaving he always says to call him if I need him. I’ve never had a problem getting in to see him. I’ve never had to sit in waiting room forever either to get called in. With that being said…I won’t ever leave him unless the wheels fall off my car ha! Anyways, very glad my heart is in his hands!

As a new patient, I didn't feel rushed. He really listened to my concerns and explained everything very well. I'm new to the area and was nervous about meeting a new doctor after such a dramatic surgery.

I w saw him a few days ago and will never go to anyone. Very easy to understand with a good bedside manner which is so important. Very kind and to the point. 4th Floor Cardiac care ! Dr Tolbert reviewed my condition, and test results and immediately concluded I need a pacemaker referring me to his associate specialist electrophysiologist Dr. Kaiser. Dr Tolbert was very thorough in asking about my current condition, prior history and then explained my situation and how to approach a fix to my problem. I have used St. Thomas Baptist Midtown for 9 surgeries, over the last 15 yrs. They are the best, and will do all our families surgeries. In this heart case : From My Friday night ER arrival to my continued treatment responses .. Doctors Wilcox, Dr. Fowler, Dr. Jacobs, to my nurses : Skyler, Heather, Maritza, Faith , Lorine, and may more team members provided the utmost attention and warm care to my medical needs. A FANTASTIC TEAM!
