Excellent Dr.!! I highly recommend Dr. Shapiro!
Dr. Shapiro is very professional and knowledgeable! He adjusted my sling which was so much better and removed the bandage! No problems!

Awesome
Dr. Shapiro 100%! He has the best bed side manner, very personable and welcoming. I am so happy with the healing process. I normally keloid really bad and with the cuts Dr. Shapiro made. I have not seen a keloid yet to appear on my shoulder. I definitely recommend Shapiro.

New Shoulders
Dr Shapiro had been managing both of my shoulders for a few years prior to the replacement. Once I made the decision to get the surgery, it was a quick and easy process. Both procedures went smoothly and the new joints are awesome.

Rotator Cuff Surgery
Dr. Shapiro has been nothing but professional, efficient, and kind. He worked with me to try some alternatives to surgery at first, which I appreciated. When that didn’t work for my shoulder he recommended surgery. I’ve been impressed with the communication from him and his staff. I have received all the information and support needed to recover with the least amount of pain. I highly recommend Dr. Shapiro and his staff at SCOI.

Unhelpful, Uniformative & Reluctant
Dr. Shapiro would have spent no more than three minutes with me explaining the analysis of my MRI scan and suggested no potential remedies other than surgery or no surgery. The only way to get more information out of him, which was hard to do since he was quite reluctant to discuss, was to ask questions. He took an obvious dislike to any kind of question. Felt like he just wanted to get out of the office. As a Dr. myself, I was quite annoyed at the way he treated me and shocked at the disregard for the patient's wellbeing.

Wonderful surgeon
Dr. Shapiro has done two surgeries on me and I have been extremely happy with both. I love his bedside manner and I feel that I have received great care. I would definitely recommend him to any of my family and friends.
