First time I've had an hour with a psychiatrist, and regularly. Very experienced and good dude.

Dr. Magro saved my life. I was going down the road of doctor prescribed pain meds. Little did I know, you need stronger and stronger. I found myself wondering if I would make it until I could fill my new script. The stronger meds & larger quantities became difficult to find. I found myself calling and driving to God knows where for my pain meds. I couldn’t live like this any more. If this sounds like you, make an appt. Dr. Magro is a great listener, he’s very smart and he will help you too.

Dr Magro has been my doctor for a few years now. He has helped assist me through planning and healing performances before, during and in the middle of surgery procedures I've had to endure due to an automobile accident I was involved in years ago. He is extremely knowledagble when evaluating and providing the best options needed to assist with my mental or physical needs. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. magro has been my doctor for a number of years now and all I can say is thank God he left Barrier Island. The management(1person)at that office are not only condescending to anyone with a drug addiction but terribly unprofessional and do backflips to charge you for things you wouldn't be asked to pay for at another Institution. But Dr. Magro is a very responsible, professional, and caring physician. I can only hope I can get in to see him sometime at his new office.

Absolute worst. He should lose his license. The fact that he “specializes” in addiction and recovery and yet never fills prescriptions? No wonder Barrier Clinic is permanently closed. It’s about time. And of course no patient was contacted after regarding meds SHAMEFUL AND DISGUSTING

I had a solid case of white coat syndrome but oh wow did he do wonders for that. He was able to pick up on symptoms I wasn't aware of with excellent accuracy, and suggested medications that worked wonderfully. And, I'm not talking just the standard stuff here, I have Bipolar I and he managed to find me a not sucky mood stabilizer excellently. He also really seems to care which goes a long way against the "drug dealer" psychiatrist sterotype. I also wasn't an addiction patient so, he's just good.

Dr. Magro himself is great. I would recommend him to anyone. But, for the love of GOD, PLEASE GET RID OF CARMEN. His medical assistant does not return phone calls. I've had a reaction to my anxiety medicine that I have left messages twice about. I went in for an appointment, and she overlapped the times causing a new patient to take my appointment and I was left without one. All she told me was to lower my dose until my body is comfortable with it. It's been close to a month. Horrible.

I have to agree with the other patient that left a review of Dr. Magro. Dr. Magro is great but the office staff overall is horrible. On more than one occasion the assistant has either not returned my phone call at all or taken longer than a week to call. I'm only writing this in hopes that Dr. Magro will see this and understand that it's a problem for every patient, not just a couple of complaints.
