The practitioner does not prioritize actively listening to his patients and addressing the underlying causes of their symptoms. He tends to rely solely on MRI results and their own assumptions from study, without taking into consideration the full picture of the situation. Furthermore, scheduling appointments in a timely manner is challenging, and if an appointment is cancelled by the office, the rescheduled date is often over a month and a half away. This lack of urgency and consideration for patients in pain can make them feel invalidated and as though their pain and discomfort are not being taken seriously. I would not recommend this practitioner to those seeking prompt and effective care.

Dr. Chapman performed an SI Joint Fusion on me several years ago. It was a total failure as he did not insert the spinal hardware properly. Furthermore, he would not listen to me when I insisted something was not right and I requested an updated MRI. Finally, after 6 months, he agreed to order the MRI and it confirmed the joint fusion he performed had failed. He offered no apology or solution other than to repeat the same surgery! Of course, I said no. I would avoid this doctor.

I have been his patient for five years. In the beginning he tried to help me avoid surgery. I tried hard for 1.5 years and gave in to surgery. Low back decompression couldn't have gone better for me. Now three years later things have deteriorated and he is taking the same approach which currently is working well. In the meantime my hip is shot and he helped me find the right surgeon considering all my complex health issues to make sure he got the correct one that has extensive experience with infectious disease. He is a really great surgeon that won't cut you unless it is unavoidable and when he does you are are being treated by a highly skilled third generation back surgeon.

Very kind and thorough. Explained everything down to the smallest detail. I would highly recommend Dr. Chapman.
