Not thorough - Mayo figured out what he missed
Dr. Brandt did surgery for a large hydrocele. He didn’t really answer my questions or give me a lot of information. During recovery my pain level was much higher than I was told to expect and the Dr. had no suggestions on management. The Hydrocele returned even larger and his response was that he didn’t know why, but they could repeat the surgery. I ended up getting into Mayo; they quickly diagnosed problems with the epididymis and that it wasn’t a simple Hydrocele. Mayo Drs explained everything in much much greater detail and got me in quickly for surgery. With the right diagnosis and surgery, my recovery the second time was quick.

Was Dr. who assisted in kidney removal. Met before operation and made me nothing to worry about. Was ready to answer any question I had. I thought he was great at what he was there to do. Made me feel at ease.

Dr. Brandt is a very caring man. A jump in my PSA test led to discovery of cancer. He followed protocols and diagnosed my condition quickly. Between diagnosis and surgery was less than a month. He and his staff were great with multiple sources of information and options. We chose the one with the best outcome. Unfortunately I lost my prostate, but will be cancer free from this for the rest of my lifetime. I feel he and his staff pulled out all the stops to get me a great outcome. He is very competent, and used the very latest technology available to minimize the pain and recovery period. My experience has been as good as I could get, and I have no problem recommending him for your medical issues. I wish anyone reading this the best of luck, and believe that you are getting the best under Dr. Brandt's care.

Had surgery yesterday, 08/08/16. EVERYONE from the Reception Staff to the Recovery Nurse were cordial, knowledgeable, professional and attended to my needs as if I were their only patient. At all time I was made to feel comfortable and cared for. A resounding Thank You call out to all who looked after me. Thanks, Gary
