Not a very good doctor, no bedside manner. Only good for prescribing medication.

I used to see Dr. Okons when I lived in Hope Mills. I had to switch doctors. I thought he was incompetent. I had an allergy to Ambien. It was in bold black right on my medical record on the cover. I had one of many appointments with him, where I waited almost two hours to see him, and they’d call you to the back around an hour and a half past your appointment. I was being seen because my sleep medication was no longer working. While holding my medical record that said Ambien Allergy, he turns to

Dr. Okum seems very knowledgable and has a good bedside manner. He has made multiple referrals on my behalf and communicates well with my other medical providers. The office could be cleaner but that seems to be a pattern in this area.

Blood tests taken before I even saw him for first time. Did not listen and will only handle one problem at a time. Asked questions, did not wash hands but was only in room for about 10 minutes. 7 minutes looking at forms I filled out. My last visit.

First time patient. Dr. Okons' bedside manner and treatment overall was subpar. Never introduced himself, did not listen, did not wash his hands nor use sanitizer, but still examined my mother. Continuously asked her if she smoked or drank alcohol (not kidding! 6X same question). Go to fill meds and find out that it is the same OTC meds my mother has been taking for 3mths, to treat a sinus issue. Wish I had more room to write...needless to say will not be going back.
