It is a shame PAMF keeps this "doctor" on the staff

I’ve read such terrible reviews on here about the doctor, but she has always been very good with me. I’m surprised by these reviews. She has always been professional and friendly. Better than the others I’ve had there.

She is the worst of the doctors I have been to. Not interested in your health and, every once in a while, may act like a doctor with a chosen patient. Ignores the patient and stares at her computer all day. Does not make eye contact and leaves the room without explanation. No empathy at all. Should not have chosen this profession as she is incompetent, condescending, uninterested, and a waste of time!

Very rude and uncaring person. Should not practice as she is condescending and does not examine patients.

I have received treatments from Dr. Tina Sugimoto not for too long, but I am greatly impressed by her professionalism, work ethic, patient caring and job dedication. I had a lot of questions on my recently declined health and she explained to me during remote sessions one by one until the last minute when she needs to see another patient. I feel she sees a lot of things from a patient’s point of view therefore her suggestions make a lot of sense to me. And she supports her diagnosis with sufficient lab tests which makes her trustworthy. I can tell when a doctor is doing the minimum to her patient or otherwise. Dr. Tina Sugimoto tries her best to help. I would highly recommend Dr. Tina Sugimoto.

I had bulging disc on my neck and I experience tingling down my arm, i had more nerve symptoms, and request a mri. She told me she won’t order until I m crying for the pain? What s wrong of this doctor. She don’t even examine me and just looked at the computer and refuse the request of my mri. I m so upset about this and ll never return.

Absolutely negative experience. My friend walked out!

My husband and I will never return. Looked at computer, no interest. Poor example of a doctor representing Sutter Health. No concern for patients. Very unhappy.

Horrendous!!

The same thing ( described in this Jan. 10th review) happened to me . I had annual physical checking and was billing for an extra office visit, plus bunch of diagnostic lab test (the doctor didn't tell me they were diagnostic test) .The preventive lab test was covered by insurance, but not diagnostic test. Although I claimed that I had no concerns or complaints about my health, she still ordered these tests without telling me (I thought I was taking routing preventive test).

The other review might not be fair as I have this same issue with other doctors starting last year so seems more a reflection of the state of medical billing these days, and in my case this situation was clearly explained when I checked in- I even had to sign a form stating I understood this might happen. I found Dr. Sugimoto to be a great listener- she built great rapport, was very inquisitive and never seemed to be in a rush to get me out so she can move on to the next patient.

My visit with Dr. Sugimoto was great until I received the bill. This is my annual physical check up and my first visit with her. The visit went Ok, but she charged me for 2 visits. Preventive visit plus one. She said it was because I discuss some other issues of my health with her. But I had to tell her my past history with her to let her know me, she did not do anything with those problem at all, no medicine or referral services from those problem. Therefore I would not recommend to anyone.
