Telehealth
I was seen for a non-epileptic condition that was verified with testing. A psychiatric condition used to exist when non-epileptic siezures of my type exist. Her interpretation denied the existance of my true diagnosis and instead a common prejudical assumption and diagnosis. Rather than refer me elsewhere, she coached me and cherry picked my answers and information to achieve a diagnosis she is not qualified to make. No attempt was made to refer me to the proper professionals for treatment even if she was correct. I mentioned another neurologic disorder I have first hand experience in, and she tried to mansplain it to me and inform me I was not knowledgable. Her explaination was severely outdated and flawed. A family member had it, I was a care provider and actively involved in treatments and doctor consultations.

Dr. Shih has been my neurologist for many years now. She has always helped me when I had a problem getting prescriptions filled due to back orders from vendors. She also has made time to see me when I have needed to schedule appointments at unusual times or in a short amount of time. She understands the problems that someone dealing with epilepsy has on a daily basis and try’s to help the best she can to get us what we need.

One of the best medical professionals I have ever had the privilege of being treated by. Extremely knowledgeable, intellectually brilliant and understanding. In my case, very empathetic to my concerns and needs as a patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Shih to anyone seeing the best medical care available.
