Shill for Aetna denial of care
Patient unable to get indicated surgery because Aetna denied it. Dr. Watson was the Peer-to-Peer physician and did not allow the surgery just based on the Aetna requirements, not based on any medical information about the patient. He does not have patient's best interests in mind.

Had significant medical complication secondary to spinal surgery. Dr Watson failed to recognize this error (complication) in spite of repeated postop visits and failure to progress within the stated rehabilitation timeline. Second opinion at UCSF & repeat spine studies found that I bled into my spinal canal. Dr. Watson was rude, dismissive and completely uncaring. He is the perfect example of a terrible physician and surgeon. While complications from surgical procedures can occur, Dr. Watson’s inability to listen to post operative status and utter arrogance that his patient could possibly have a serious complication have led to a lifetime of compromised mobility. I highly recommend that anyone with spinal or other orthopedic issues NOT pursue diagnostics or treatment from Dr. Watson.

Dr Watson seemed bothered by me wasting his time. This was my first time seeing a spine specialist for an issue I felt was important. But apparently it seemed menial to him. I would never recommend him to family or friends.

I was injured in a car Accident roughly 21 years ago and Dr. Watson fused my c6-7. I was 17 years old at the time. I never truly thanked him for the amazing job that he did. I'm 38 today and very active and healthy. He did a wonderful job!
