Dr. Timothy Spaulding, MD

It is an emergency situation. Called and called to get an appointment. Ultrasound shows a 6.8 CM ovary. Upon palpating he said it was not my ovary. Ultrasound showed different. He said he thought cancer and too large to laparoscopically remove. I will need surgery immediately! Has his office scheduled surgery? NO! I’ve called everyday! They sent a message this morning via My Chart if I don’t hear anything by the end of NEXT WEEK to call. You can’t call me or to even make a phone call to schedule surgery? This has been going on for 10 days since ER visit and I’m in extreme pain! I’m supposed to endure this pain for 2 more weeks? I didn’t go to the ER for no reason. 3 hours in the office. Staff rude, doesn’t answer the phone. You shouldn’t tell people they have cancer when you don’t definitively know! He said he would contact an Oncologist. Obviously not! Stay away from Baptist Health Lagrange and this doctor at all costs!

I made an appointment with doctor Spaulding when I 1st moved to La Grange for a prepregnancy check up. After arriving early for my appointment I waited 3 hours to see Dr. Spaulding. When I finally got back to speak with him he only stayed in the room for less than 2 minutes and told me to schedule an annual exam and come back then charged me $200 for the visit. Almost 2 months after my annual exam he called me and told me that I might have cancer and that I should come back in. Then when I came in he scheduled me a surgery and when I seem concerned and confused and scared he told me he hadn't allotted time for questions, but I could make another appointment for that if I need. Every time I saw him he was cold and rude and had little time or concern for any issues I was having.

I’ve been going to Dr Spaulding for 23 years and HIGHLY recommend him!! Also, myself, 2 of my daughters and 3 of my daughter-in-laws have had babies delivered by him and his partners and use his practice for all of our OB/GYN needs. Dr Spaulding is one of the most kind, sensitive, and knowledgeable doctors I’ve ever been to. I have 8 children ( 7 oldest were delivered in different states & countries) and 29 grandchildren so I definitely have a lot of experience with OB/GYNs!

He was very nervous and not very confident putting in my implant which made me feel uncomfortable. Then when I went to see him regarding an issue I believed was caused by the implant he was quick to dismiss my concerns hardly listening to me. He wasn't even in the same room as me for 5mins. His reasoning why my problems weren't related to the implant when they were was because he never saw it for himself before.
