Older Wisdom Truly is the Best Kind!
I have already shared a review with others on my personal social media pages. My experience with Dr. Timothy Salmon was excellent yesterday! The care I received from the staff and from Dr. Salmon was superior. It was such a breath of fresh air to be seen and treated by older wisdom with years of medical experience behind what he does. He treated the whole symptoms and got me started on treatment to an allergic reaction none of the other doctors have ever recommended (an increased antihistimine dose, as opposed to being placed on an antibiotic). I really appreciate his wisdom and knowledge and am finally starting to experience relief for the first time in over a month. His bedside manner was terrific and really seemed to take care of all the issues I wanted to address. Very professional & highly recommend!

Did not communicate
Dr. Salmon did a full body check, but I do not feel he communicated what he had observed or was thorough enough. With no word of what he found and what he would be doing, he proceeded to freeze first one ear and then the other. The next year I did not go back, but went to another Dermatologist who did 7 biopsies on my head and face and found two areas that needed attention. One was squamous cell carcinoma and and the other was basal cell carcinoma. Both areas were treated with the Mohs procedure. Sorry, I will not be going back to Dr. Salmon.

WORST dermatologist I've ever seen. He scheduled me for a biopsy at 4:30 p.m. for a growth on my nose. When he came toward me, I asked if he was going to numb it first. He said he couldn't. I screamed at the top of my lungs when he cut into my nose (reason for 4:30 pm appointment). Obviously, he had no intention of numbing me. With my eyes closed, I smelled and felt the heat of him coming near me to cauterize my open wound with a hot poker. I told him to get away from me with that and told him to stop the bleeding with some gauze. A month later I received a letter from Banner Medical that he no longer worked for them.

Had been my primary dermatologist for over four years and was a favorite doctor. But in 2017, one month after his routine evaluation, the PCP found two squamous and one basal cell cancers which were overlooked!

I first consulted with Dr. Salmon in 2013 when he removed an aggressive squamous cell carcinoma on my hand. He referred me to an excellent Mohs surgeon and has done my follow up skin exams since then. I am very confident in his care . He also doesn't push unnecessary treatments or procedures. Being an Az native and a redhead I've seen several dermotogists and have liked him the best.

Doctor is great- staff very poor - Appointment was for 10:15, 2/24/17, arrived 10:00 AM. Checked in. At 11:00 AM, I informed receptionist I waited long enough and was leaving. Her reply " OK"! She seemed to say "So What, who cares". Never Why or whats wrong.

For basic skin issues, he is adequate, but when confronted with a difficult long lasting skin problem, he had no answers and no suggestions or recommendations as to how to get relief. It has been nearly 5 months and I am still suffering from bleeding and itching. He says sometimes this happens and there are no answers and my condition could last for years. His admin. staff seem much more interested in collecting a co-pay for each follow-up visit rather than how I was doing with my problem.
