Dr. Mitchell listened well and asked enough questions to guide us to good answers about my treatment. When we had a difference of opinion, he heard my side and lead with the ways he agreed with me and was clear that my medical decisions were ultimately my own to make. I felt respected and valued. He has a genuine smile and an easy, gentle laugh that was refreshing.

I happened to know his son without knowing their relation, who informed me that his father openly discussed my medical history with him, including detailed information about my personal life. Aside from this, he was rude and belittling. Stay away even if you’re desperate; you’re better off dealing with your mental illness without treatment than you are seeing this guy.

Excellent 5 star MD, very knowledgeable in medication and various conditions, as well as a great listener! Extremely easy to talk to, non-judgemental and always offers multiple solutions or treatment regimens for your problems. I was always skeptical of the psychiatric field because my dad's a psychiatrist, Dr. Mitchell has proven the value of his field repeatedly. Highly recommended.

I unfortunately have to rate my experience with Dr. Mitchell and his office as very poor because of consistently bad follow-up and customer service. I had a change in insurance and the front office staff person, Theresa, assured me she would investigate and call me back asap. I heard nothing. The following month I called again about this situation and she apologized and assured me she would talk to her office manager & Dr. Mitchell and call me back. Again, no call back. No excuse for this!

While the office is fairly comfortable and the front office staff is highly professional, I don't go there for that. I go because Dr. Mitchell was recommended by my PCP.It has been a very good experience. Dr. Mitchell listens. He's not eager to throw drugs at me to fix my problem. He and I are partners in my health. I really appreciate that he will talk to me and then ask me my opinion and then listen to my thoughts too. I will, and have, recommended him.
