Long time patient…
Dr Mar became Mr. Hyde, after 12+ years as a patient he told us to find another doctor....as I stood in shock, son's father, it was mostly due to Dr, Mar and specifically his inefficient, uncaring, unprofessional selfish office support staff. For this, since Dec., 3 months for prescription not filled, and without discussing resolve, expressed by Dr. Mar, "find another doctor." This was stated multiple times! Totally out of character and not choosing to side with the patient instead siding with a really poor office staff. Future patients should consider a different Orthopedic Surgeon. One that's more humble and chooses the best interest of the patient.

Dr. Mar is a great orthopedic doc!
Dr Mar performed a meniscus clean up on my left knee in 2018; examined X-rays from a fractured fibula in 2020 which occurred out of the country where he gave instructions to put me in a boot and examined me several times upon arriving home where we ultimately decided not to operate as it was healing naturally; and he’s currently helping me with a torn meniscus in my right knee. He is efficient, listens, and answers any and all questions. His staff gets you in and out so there is very little waiting time which is much appreciated by me. I highly recommend Dr Mar.

Dr. Mar is an exceptional surgeon. He's treated me for injuries involving torn ligaments\tendons to more recently shoulder surgery. He has an excellent bedside manner and is always looking out for the patient's best interests. He explains everything in detail so there is no concern or anxiety and he is always cordial, professional, caring, and sincere. I had my right shoulder worked on by another surgeon many years ago and the entire experience didn't compare to what Mr. Mar provided in this latest procedure. My surgery proceeded perfectly without a hitch and I am pleased to report that my recovery is also going well. I have my first shoulder surgery to compare it with and there is simply no comparison. I hold Dr. Mar in the highest regard and would recommend him to anyone seeking the services of an orthopedic surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Mar and his staff was exceptional. Furthermore, my hip replacement went smoothly and a year later I continue to walk without any assisting devices and experience very little, if any pain. He made me comfortable about my surgery and his after care was also excellent.

Dr. Mar conducted knee surgery on my left knee, replacing it 8 months ago. I now can walk, I don't need a walker, sometimes just a cane. I was injured by a fall from scaffolding February 28 2005. I injured my spine, Bi-Lateral shoulders and both knee's. I will be going back to see him for a complete left shoulder replacement, right shoulder repair and right knee replacement. I have that much trust in Dr. Mar.

He replaced my hip. The scare was larger than he told me it would be, I don't care about that, the a pain that is still there is what bothers me, I have full range of motion but with some pain not as restrictive as before but this long after my operation it should be gone. My other hip was replaced by a Kaiser Doc and I was out of pain in 3 months. I cannot tell that one was replaced. I can't hike with my hip like this. At the appointment "if it sill hurts in a year come back" No Thanks.

My name is Paul. I have had fifteen knee operations due to football when i was young, including four total knee replacements. In 2016, my knee became infected due to a very nasty staph infection. I needed a new ortho as i did not trust going back to prior surgeon. Dr. Mar accepted me as a patient and did a two phase replacement where my knee was taken out and left out for four weeks before being replaced. Dr. Mar very thoroughly explained risks and answered ALL questions very thoroughly.

I was referred to Dr. Mar for hip joint treatment options. Dr. Mar's office did not contact me. It took over 6 weeks to get an appointment. Dr. Mar spent 5 minutes with me. He was only interested in scheduling a total hip replacement. He said Call us when you want to schedule that. Without measuring, he said my left leg is longer, actually my right leg is 5/8 inch longer. I found another ortho who has less invasive treatment options.

He wants to take care of your issues and doesn't want you waiting long in the room when you get to his office like most Dr's he will get you in and out of the room in less than 10 mins. :). If you get denied Surgery he will keep having you come back and bugging your insurance til you get approved he is not a Dr to give up on hat your needs are :) that's what I love about him he fights for you.
