Dr Graven saved my life, especially the quality
I went to Dr. Graven after a csr accident and he was very honest from the start. Nothing was going to be easy, I trusted him completely and after a cervical. Lumbar and both scaroiiate fusions, and a nevro spinal pain stimulator my life is what I make of it!! Dr Graven is amazing and you would be lucky to have him as your surgeon!

Dr Graves , Excellent surgeon
I don’t know why anyone would have a problem with Dr Graven. He’s been my doctor since 2009. I have degenerative disc and he’s always taken good care of me!! He’s even apologized to me about degenerative disc and said u’ll always be in pain..He didn’t have to say I apologize for something out of his or my control, but I really appreciated that from him!!We’ve talked about a lot of things over the years, even our swimming pools. So he’s kind and gracious, but he’ll tell u like it is.. Bad Or good. Ed military, so he won’t sugar coat it!!!He’s the best!! Trust me! I moved to Ozark Mo and these drs don’t know what he knows. It’s, 20 miles north of Branson, but it’s well worth the drive to go back to St Charles county, for him to do surgery CG

Dr.Graven genuinely cares about his patients and their quality of life. He goes above and beyond to ensure you receive elite care. Because of Dr.Graven I am able to walk again. First and last visit
My first (and last) visit lasted like 5 minutes with the actual doctor. Gave a few tips, dismissed my comments, and left abruptly with his head in his phone. I sat there thinking "I guess that's it...". Some nurse outside the room helped me exit the building. (I was warned by an unrelated nurse about him prior to finding a local doctor to see). I Don't waste your time and money, and find a better receiving doctor that takes pride in their line of practice.

I arrived 15 min early as asked by the multiple text and email messages ask. Once I arrive I find out once again he is running 30 -45 mins late.......again. I think it’s an SSM issue I used to see Stowell but she canceled an appointment cause I was 10 mins late. So today I get to spend over an hour or more at a dr visit I heard grumbling in the waiting room that a sales lady came in and cause this delay. I’ll find another dr next time

Dr Graven is one of my most favorite doctors, not that I want to see him because I have back issues but I am thankful every day that he is the one to have treated me and is still treating me. He is kind, compassionate, understanding and has a great bed side manner. I’ve had many issues with my back and SI joint and he hasn’t given up on me and works diligently to find a way to get my pain more under control, avoiding further surgical procedures. I have and will continue to recommend him to everyone I know that has back issues. He is an awesome doctor who doesn’t talk down to you but will talk on your level to help you better understand what he will be doing to help you get better. The staff is kind, friendly and helpful. I won’t go to anyone else!

I have a herniated disc that was exacerbated causing extreme pain and difficulty with mobility. I saw Dr.Graven who made me feel as if I was lying or overdramatizing my pain. He refused to do a new MRI even though I had reported new pain and leg numbness. Dr. Graven told me to come back when covid restrictions were lifted. 3 days later I had emergency surgery for cauda equina syndrome. I’m lucky I sought a second opinion otherwise I may not be able to walk. I also called the day after my initial appointment to ask about new symptoms and was told by the first receptionist that she would give him the message after 6 hours of no response I called back and was told they weren’t even in the office that day. I’m very unsatisfied by the treatment I received at this provider.

He did a surgery for a compressed vertebra on may 16 2018, went back to have it checked still no relief. Told me to take more pain medicine, did not feel comfortable in taking strong pain meds. Got a second opinion with a spine doctor. Did a MRI showed cement put in vertebra was out of the area so was touching nerves out of vertebra. had to take pain shot as pain is going down my legs. This is considered a outpatient surgery and not serious. Problem cannot be fixed but had another shot this week to help. I would not recommend him and also feel he prescribed too strong a pain med. .

I have been seeing this doctor two months now , he has prescribed muscle relaxer and anti-inflammatory , and physical therapy , he has never physically touched my neck , or examine me once himself . He says he will not do this without a MRI, the insurance company will not approve an MRI until he sends all the supporting information , His office staff has failed to do this, I now have to shop for a new specialist . I can't keep waiting for his office staff to finally do their job .

5 weeks post op, L4-5 tlif. I feel great. Still have some sciatic pain if I overdo it and late, like towards bedtime. But compared to constant pain in both legs, I can deal. This man is an amazing Dr and I'd be willing to sit a few minutes longer or not chit chat in exchange for his competency in the operating room.
