Arthroscopic surgery of my shoulder injury resulted in excellent outcome due to the expert skill of Dr. Foster. Surgery required debriding arthritis in joint, capsular release and shaving back of bone spur that was sticking into my rotator cuff. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Foster (And Dr. Simon) are simply amazing human beings. I’m a 32yr old female, very active and exercise 5-6 days a week. I was upset when I hurt my shoulder last year and had to have what I was told was a very “routine” biceps tendonesis in Oct 2019. It didn’t go well at all & I complained for months post surgery that I was still in pain. I went to PT until April 2020, had 6 injections post surgery, with no relief. I ended up going to see Dr. Foster and Dr. Simon in June 2020 for a 2nd opinion After being referred from a family member. They were the most amazing, professional, and caring doctors I’ve seen in any type of medical setting. They just re-did my surgery in September 2020 and it went great. They worked very hard to fix my shoulder and they put up with lots of questions, crying, and concerns on my part! Newton wellesley Hospital was also great in general for surgery. From start to finish my experience was thankfully so much better and they really gave me the best care.

Back in 2003, he saved my career in racing downhill mountain biking and unknown at the time years coaching and mentoring when other orthos told me I may never ride a bike again. Forever grateful!

Dr Foster is a superior surgeon. He listened very carefully to me prior to my surgery date regarding special protocols necessary for a chronic illness that I have, and made certain they were followed. My follow-ups have been thorough and professional, with either Dr Foster or his PA or MA staff. The practice’s admin personnel are professional, polite, and thorough. How unusual to find a textbook perfect practice in real life. I can’t thank them enough

While Dr. Foster is a very nice person, my injury is no better now than what it was before he did my surgery almost 10 years ago. I can barely stand the pain at times from sometimes doing nothing more than walking. It is disappointing as I thought I had one of the best Orthopedic Surgeons in Massachusetts.

I highly recommend Dr. Foster if you need shoulder surgery. His expertise, patience, and skill can't be beat. He treats patients with respect and explains treatment plans thoroughly.

Dr. Foster had the best bedside manner of any orthopedist I have seen. Gave ample time for questions, provided a very thorough examination and was not in the least defensive or dissuasive that I get another opinion. I ended up having surgery with him and have no regrets. Even though he is now the Chairman of the department, he is easy to communicate with if needed.
