The purpose of the patient's visit to the office is to consult with Dr. Ekhlassi to determine the cause of their eye disease. However, Dr. Ekhlassi examines the patient in less than five minutes because he aims to see as many patients in Coquitlam as possible in a short period. He works with two assistants, and their approach feels robotic. The office is only open for two days every two weeks, and then they close it and move to another location. If you need to contact them, they are unavailable.

Great Doctor, inefficient office. Think twice.
Dr. Ekhlassi is an excellent ophthalmologist and surgeon. However, the office is very inefficient and ineffectual. I have three complaints:1. I was given an appointment even though Dr. Ekhlassi had given notice and had no openings on his surgical schedule. After the appointment, I was told to get an appointment with another doctor to go through the same evaluation.2. It took a week to get my question answered.3. After being checked in by a medical assistant, I was left in an exam room for 60 minutes until I went to the desk to ask why. No one had informed the doctor that I was there. I hope Dr. Ekhlassi’s partner, Dr. Kim, can get this office running better.

He was kind, patient and understanding to my phobia plus he has the best staff. He did a phenomenal job on removing cancer and reconstructing my eyelid.
