Dr. Timothy Cocks, MD

I am disappointed with Dr. Cocks and his office. He has been my PCP for almost two years. I called his office about a non-emergent but serious problem. Despite his voice mail saying I would receive a call back with in 24 to 48 hours, it was seven days before I received a call and then I was offered an appointment for two weeks later. I expect a PCP to be more responsive.

My experience but this office is so different than some reviews on here. I have called the office at least three times in the last few weeks and I have always gotten a call back in a couple of hours. They are very responsive unlike other reviews on here. I will admit it's a no frills office but the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Appointments are generally available without much of a weight.

Drs office does not have an EMR making them totally out of date and unable to keep up the demands of a modern doctor's office. We saw Dr Cocks 1 time and he ordered a calcium scoring test which found an anurysm that needs a work up. We have spent 3 weeks trying to get what we need from his office staff and still do not have the orders we need. Out of 50 phone calls they answer the phone twice and do not follow through.

I've been going to see Dr. Cocks for approximately 30 years. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my healthcare than Dr. Cocks. He's kind, interested in your health and listens to concerns that you the patient has. I trust him totally with my health. Office staff is kind and extremely busy.

It's extremely hard to get a hold of the office staff. We waited over two weeks for a referral to a specialist because the referral lady was out of the office and no one is cross trained to be able to take care of it.

Dr Cocks is engaged and totally devoted to your brief time together. Excellent Doctor. I pay out of network fees.

All went well except I understand that this is an "all paper" office. In this day and age at least an email address would be nice.

Dr Cocks' practice ran me out of diabetes supplies. They run a sloppy support staff that: - refuses to work normal medical industry procedures with insurance companies for prescriptions. When the insurance company requests a pre-authorization for an Rx, the staff ignores the request - the support staff then neglects to notify the patient that they aren't responding to the RX pre-auth request from the insurance company - then the Patient runs out of medication(s) - voice mail for the "prescription refill" staff is full a large enough fraction of the time that repetitive calls are made - The Practice Members are aloof to the sloppy staff - I dropped in to discuss the matter with Dr Cocks and the support staff: they made excuses and blamed the Insurance company for their patient neglect - The Practice uses 100% paper records and outdated IT consisting of FAXes for orders & Rx's and phones for incoming contact: no computers, no e-mail, no chat. Covid-19 forced them to use virtual visits.

I have been seeing Dr. Cocks since he opened his practice in Vero Beach so many years ago it is hard to believe. When I was in my late 30s he took me aside and asked me if I intended to go to my daughter's graduation which would be in 2 years. I said of course, he just shook his head sadly and looked me straight in the eye and told me I would be dead be4 then if I did not lose weight, I was over 500 lbs. 2day I weigh 199 lbs and I just turned 58. Dr Cocks saved my life. FINEST KIND!!

I can’t recommend Dr. Cocks enough. He is thorough and knowledgeable. Some people might feel he is rude or uncaring; he is simply a straightforward person who cares about your health and is always thinking about all possible outcomes. He explains everything and asks important questions. I trust him completely with my health.

Really rude doctor!

Dr. Cocks is unprofessional, rude, and uncaring. During my visit, he refused to discuss a new medical problem I had since my appointment was a follow up to discuss lab results. Steer clear of this doctor if you want to be treated with respect and compassion.

Dr. Cocks is a great doctor and he will give you an honest opinion. Several years ago I was pushing 500 pounds, I went to my appointment with Dr. Cocks and he remembered I had a daughter in High School. He asked me what grade she was in now, and I told him 11th. He asked me if I planned on going to her graduation and I said of course. He just shook his head and told me I would not make it that long if I didn't lose weight. My daughter just turned 29, I am half the man I was! Thanks Dr. Cocks!!!!

I strongly recommend Dr. Cocks to everyone. From Thomas, who works at the front desk, to Dr. Cocks who is extremely caring and well educated. I absolutely refuse to see anyone else. If I could give his office 6 stars I would.

Dr. Cocks literally saved my life. He was the only physician who ever checked my carotid arteries and found a blockage. He is very caring and listens to you. I strongly recommend him.

His office staff is extremely rude and uncaring. I hate this office and will never return
