Dr. Timothy Byon, MD

I was seeing another doctor at the practice but when they left he was the only one accepting patients so I switched. Often jumps to conclusions without asking further questions. Does not take the time to review the chart or get to know the patient’s history. It is clear he makes decisions based on his own biases. Put false information and diagnoses in my chart, I had to formally fill out a form to get the information changed and removed. Lacks professionalism, is extremely condescending and judgmental. Actively googled answers to my questions during an appointment. Overall terrible experience with this doctor and do not recommend.

He is my favorite doctor I have ever had. He always listens, doesn’t judge, but works towards problem resolution and root cause of issues. I have never had a problem getting an appt and I find his office very attentive as well. I would highly recommend!

Very poor bedside manner, created a feeling of unsafe space, he was dismissive and condescending.

Doctor Byon is one of the few doctors in this area who is aurally accepting new patients so he’s sort of .. many people’s only choice. If you have other choices, you should do that. He doesn’t listen and just spouts random life advice and tells all of his patients to go watch this other doctor on YouTube. Googles during appointments because he doesn’t seem to have a lot of knowledge about medicine. I have no idea how long he’s been a doctor but it has to be less than a year he’s clearly very new.

I recently moved to the Aquidneck Island area and needed to establish medical care fairly quickly. Dr. T. Byon was highly recommenced by a local person, and I have been very pleased with the care I am receiving. He listened and addressed all of my immediate needs, obtained my previous records, is providing diagnosis appropriate care, and he gave me referrals for needed specialists in the area - both of whom have also turned out to be excellent providers. The office is efficient, and the staff are friendly and flexible. There is a lab in the office and they were able to do needed lab work immediately. I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. T. Byon and this office.

Put simply, interacting with Dr. Byon has been worst primary care experience I have ever had and it isn't close. I don't trust him and I dread having to interact with him.. In person, he lets his personal opinions and biases inform how he interacts with people in a professional setting, and he spends more time talking down to you than anything else. Online, he is completely unresponsive in the MyChart app and will ignore requests for days with zero communication. Find a different provider if you can.

At first I thought Dr. Byon might be o.k. I met him prior to making an actual appointment and he seemed o.k. I made an appointment for a few months later for my 'Medicare Wellness' and that's when I started doubting his abilities. He didn't listen to me. I mentioned that I'd had some tension in my neck so he prescribed a medication for 'cramping'. When I picked up this medication at the pharmacy it came with a printout of the side affects of the medication when combined with blood pressure medication in that it could lower my blood pressure. Well, my BP was normally about 118/72. So I tried the meds for 4 days and my BP did drop bit by bit down to 108/52. When it went that low I tossed out the medication he had prescribed. I also search on-line and found further info that the med he prescribed was contra-indicated with blood pressure medication. I have not seen him since and am trying to find a proper doctor that will LISTEN AND CHECK MY MEDICAL RECORDS! I do not recommend him.

Dr. Byon and this healthcare facility is NOT concerned about your health and wellness. This awful establishment is about the MONEY and nothing else. Dr. Byon just wants to write you a prescription, collect the co-pay and send you on your way and on to the next he goes!

I felt as if he did everything he could do to rush me in and out of the office. Prescribed medications and didn't talk about the side effects and it almost proved fatal as I passed out while riding a bicycle through the woods.

Dreadful doctor. Cold, condescending, unhelpful, judgmental, doesn’t listen. Absolutely no empathy or understanding. Seems to have very little experience with normal people. Apparently a miserable, angry man.

My fiancée and I have been seeing Dr. Byon for about 3 years now. We always loved him because he remembers us and our health problems.

Dr. Byon is not a very compassionate doctor. He laughs at me when I bring up my health concerns and does not take me seriously. He has shown no interest in helping me with my health issues. He is always in a rush to leave and not answer any of my questions. Horrible doctor.

Odd demeanor; indifferent, needs to listen to his patients. No genuine concern shown and in fact, tried to get out of there before the actual 2 medical issues I came in there for were addressed. I left feeling frustrated and frankly a little mad. I would not recommend this physician as there are other wonderful physicians at Mercy Health even in the same office as well.
