Went for hip and pain very he was condescending.
I was diagnosed with RA from a Rheumatologist. I don’t have the normal symptoms. He outright told me I don’t have it and that he wanted me to do therapy because I have hip and back pain. Didn’t X-ray He looked at MRI my primary ordered. He did nothing . Didn’t listen to anything I had to say. Wrote that all my questions were answered. They were not. He was very condescending. Rushed after I said the rheumatologist said I do have RA. The therapist asked when I was to return to see him also the RA dr. He said I didn’t need to come back because I only have tendinopathy and therapy should fix. It didn’t. I have made sure I tell other drs I see exactly what he said. When I have a knee replacement I Will request a different doctor for sure. I need to go back but don’t want to have to see him again. Went spring or summer of 2023 and still have the same issue as of January 2024

One of the best! I wouldn't go to anyone else!!
Had total left knee replacement in Nov 2020. I was not looking for someone to hold my hand, I wanted someone straight forward, to the point, no beating around the bush and Dr Conlan is that! He is meticulous, precise and knows what he is doing. If you want a doctor to sugar coat your little feelings and treat you like a poor victim, find someone else, Dr Conlan is not for you! If you want no bs, to the point, telling the truth of how it is and years of education and expertise, then Dr Conlan is your doctor!!

My experience was excellent in every way. Dr. Conlan is meticulous in his care of patients. He takes time to answer every question and explains, in detail, each step of the process for best results. His is an evidence based process. Staff at Spectrum are also friendly, respectful and very helpful.

In my opinion, Dr. Conlan should not see patients under the age of 50. Given my extensive interactions with physicians (as caretaker for my parents, father-in-law and aunts) in both a doctor's office and nursing homes, I have become adept at learning which physicians truly care. Dr. Conlan, again, in my opinion is both condescending and demoralizing (read other reviews of how he dismisses patients.) Thank heavens we sought a second opinion after he called my parent, lazy. You don't call an "energizer bunny" with a zeal for life (no longer on a walker!) lazy. What I have learned from great doctors is that you take a moment to carefully listen, encourage them and congratulate their small accomplishments, instead of chastising them. A simple "keep it moving so you don't rust" would have been sufficient (that taken from a great doctor.) It was easily my worst experience with any physician-ever. On a positive note, the staff that greets you are first-rate, the best, never wait.

I had total right knee replacement in Dec. 2016 My recovery was total and fast. I returned to work at my cleaning service in 3-1/2 weeks, I'm scheduled for total left knee replacement tomorrow 2/4 I pray that all goes as well as before. I do not look forward to the therapy and recovery I must go thru, but to have less pain and total motion of my knee will be worth it. Dr Conlan is not talkative, not all that friendly, but he is the best knee surgeon in the area. His expertise is top notch!

He has been my doctor for more than 5 yrs. He explains information in an understandable way. I find he is extremely knowledgeable...even in regards to a rare syndrome-Marfan. Before leaving he asks “Any questions?” He also show me the X-rays and what’s being seen there. The negative comments surprise me. No, he’s not big on eye contact. Would be nice but not an absolute. His extensive knowledge is essential.

I am seeing Dr. Conlin about my knees and at some point will require replacement on both. During my exam the Doctor picked up on problems indicating lower back issues. He wants to fix that first as I wouldn't get all the relief I should by just doing my knees. Good call Dr. Conlin. I have faith and respect in him.

Dr.Tim Conlan,MD did surgery on my knee and after 4 months of not being allowed to put weight on it he told me to walk without a walker.I couldn't do It so he told me I had to leave for non compliance and I couldn't come back.He said I couldn't even go to therapy that was next door.I ran with my walker crying out the door.I believe I didn't walk because at that time I had Ovarian Cancer but didn't know it yet.I had been sick for years with stomach problems that turned out to be Ovarian Cancer.
