Dr. Conermann took a chance on me, and I do all I can to remain a compliant patient. I agree that the team at his practice is carefully professional, and they actively apply a keen multidisciplinary approach to the terribly complex problem of intractable pain that some of us face. I have maneuvered my disability and reclaimed a good portion of my marriage and fatherhood as a result of his expertise and compassionate understanding.

Get help for your chronic pain!
Dr. Conermann and staff are not only profoundly professional, but sympathetic as well. Dealing with patients who are often at their wit's end in enduring serious, debilitating pain, can make such patients apt to be extremely irritable and difficult to deal with due to their pain. The medical staff at the Pain Clinic do a remarkable job at maintaining a calm, peaceful demeanor in light of the issues they constantly face. In my case, the treatments I have received have greatly helped in reducing my pain symptoms. I truly believe I have been given excellent care, the best possible that modern medicine can provide, of which I am very grateful. Marion Chester

Dr. Conermann is a fantastic physician. Although I am young I was diagnosed with Parkinson's at age 29, and as the disease progresses so does the pain that accompanies it. Due to issues with balance and coordination I badly injured my foot and ankle and was subsequently diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome and it is as terrible as it sounds. He tried a series of nerve blocks and was compassionate enough to prescribe me a conservative dose of pain medication in between blocks. At least 2 of the 6 blocks I had were VERY successful. I don't feel like he looks down on me, doesn't speak condescendingly to me and his bedside manner is that of a compassionate doctor that entered the field for truly genuine reasons. On top of my great satisfaction with his treatment, his nurses, medical assistants and front office stay are kind and courteous. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this practice and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone dealing with the torment of chronic pain.

I was referred to Dr Conermann for a nerve block for occipital neuralgia after a spinal fusion surgery in which the C2 nerve root was cut to provide access to bone for hardware insertion. This nerve innervates the skin where my neuralgia developed, and initially it didn't make sense to me that there would be any sensation at all after the removal of the roots. My neurosurgeon provided a partially satisfactory explanation, and the little information I've been able to research suggests that most likely there is nerve regrowth or re-innervation from surrounding nerves. But Dr. Conermann refused to even discuss the matter that my nerve injury was obviously caused by my surgery, instead describing it as the result of “nerve entrapment.” It was disorienting and belittling that he didn't even engage with the most obvious cause of my injury - he hadn’t even read the surgical report. I think many patients would sigh and go on, but I won't be returning. I would rather have my neuralgia.

Dr Conermann was really nice and cordial. I also didn’t receive the kind of treatment that the other reviews stated. He took his time and actually listened to me describe my pain and didn’t rush me out of the office. Please don’t hesitate in requesting Him for your doctor. The whole team at the pain institute was amicable and welcoming, I didn’t feel rushed out of there like I was at some fast food pick up window. ?? thank you.

I never had any problems like others are describing. I’m not on a very strong drug and I pee clean otherwise. This clinic always seems to be be running behind. Which is why I like first thing or after lunch appointments.

Awful physician. Made me feel like a drug addict rather than a patient experiencing pain. Rude to my wife and me during sessions.
