Unfortunate.
I saw this doctor several years ago and he hasn't left my mind yet. I presented into the ER due to chest pain. After several dx testings were completed, he came back in and told me it was due to my period and he discharged me and said to come back if it got worse. I was 26 at the time and had 10 years of menstruation NEVER coupled with chest pain, especially to the point I couldn't breathe, and was not menstruating at the time. I sat in bed for another 4 days before I was able to move again. I sincerely hope his care for females has changed. Based on his advice, if I ever had an actual heart attack, I would not seek treatment since my pain wasn't 'serious' enough for him to begin with though it was bad enough for me to spend 3k to be there earning minimum wage.

Transported by EMS for possible heart attack or episode; upon arrival at hospital diagnosis was totally different. EKG readings and vitals en route warranted more than was given. Several abnormal lab results supported need for continued care. Didn't see a cardiologist. Was released within a few short hours! Got better more accurate information during transport.
