Had a concerning experience with Dr. Thomas Wang regarding his evaluation process and patient interaction. When I brought previous medical reports about my gallbladder polyps, he assessed them from a distance without a closer review and recommended gallbladder removal without much explanation. His detached demeanor made me feel that my concerns weren’t fully considered.While Dr. Wang may have extensive experience, I believe a more thorough evaluation is necessary before making such significant decisions. Seeking a second opinion, another physician performed an ultrasound and determined the polyps weren't large enough to require removal. This highlighted the importance of careful assessment and patient-centered communication.Patients facing major surgery should seek comprehensive evaluations and explore all options. A doctor’s expertise matters, but addressing a patient’s concerns with care and patience is equally important.

Dr Wang's knowledge and attention to detail were exactly what I needed. He successfully addressed my issues and the staff was excellent. My entire encounter was smooth and efficient. Great experience all around for me.

Dr. Wang was the surgeon on call for my unexpected gallbladder surgery. He was very thorough with his explanation as to why my 'Angry Gallbladder' needed to be removed before it ruptured. He is knowledgeable, patient when answering my questions, and very professional. He took time to explain all things to me. He makes you feel comfortable. When I went to my follow up post surgery appointment at his office, I couldn't have been treated any better. His staff is awesome. I would highly recommend him.

i recently got my gallbladder removed and Dr. Wang was great! he came to talk to me at the hospital and explained how the surgery would go and the anesthesia team was wonderful and made me feel more safe as i was anxious. after surgery he came in to check on me and see how i was doing. i felt very taken care of and my recovery has been going very well. during the fu appointment he made sure everything was healing well and was open to answering all and any questions i had. i had a great experience!

I had my gallbladder removed and this whole process was a red flag. First he was late to surgery, second they lied to me about the anesthesia. Third, I felt he rushed through my surgery. They rescheduled my post op follow up appointment , I’ve been in more pain since after the surgery. They took a blood test at my last appointment and still haven’t reached out to me. It’s been 3 days. They said they would inform me on a Monday that has not happened. They keep taking my blood and no one can tell me my results. This whole process has been dealt with nonchalant people. Before going into surgery all the nurses were playing entirely too much. Speaking very inappropriately about this doctor as well as I waited to get taken back for anesthesia. I’m starting to feel it was all about the money at the end of the day. It’s been about a month since my surgery and I’M STILL IN PAIN! They practically could care less. And it’s showing. What a rushed unprofessional process!!

I had a wonderful experience at North Dallas Surgical Specialist. I saw Dr. Wang for my surgery in the hospital and have nothing but great things to say. I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Birdwell and he was amazing as well. Front and back office staff were super helpful and encouraging. Would recommend this office to family and friends.

Welcoming office space, kind and helpful staff, and timely appointments! Dr Wang thoroughly answered my questions and had a great sense of humor when the anesthesia took over! My incision healed nicely and when I was concerned the first few days, the office staff responded promptly my emails and assured me it was normal.
